Welcome!

My name is Sofia Ferreira-Teixeira, and I am a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at CIC nanoGUNE, in the Nanodevices group, based in Donostia - San Sebastian, Spain.

I am a physicist specialised in experimental condensed matter physics and nanotechnology. My current research focuses on magnetic van der Waals materials, building on my previous work with topological insulators for spintronics applications.

Beyond research, I am passionate about scientific outreach and community engagement. I serve as the Young Officer of the European Magnetism Association and as the Native Scientists SMC Coordinator for Portuguese in Spain, working to promote science communication and education across diverse audiences.
