I am a molecular biologist (MBiolSci) specializing in Biostatistics and Experimental Statistics (MD), Medical Statistics (MSc), and Bioinformatics (MSc) with extensive and confirmed experience in data analysis. I graduated in Biological Sciences at the University of Milan (Italy) and achieved my postgraduate specializations at the University of Milan-Bicocca (Italy).
◾ My research interest mainly focuses on studying molecular mechanisms and risk factors behind the onset and development of complex diseases by using advanced statistical and computational methodologies to obtain information from data.
◾ Animal behaviour and communication is my second research interest, mainly developed for personal interest.
I have a sound knowledge of the most advanced analysis methodologies used in Statistics and Data Science and an excellent capability to analyze data with different levels of complexity from various research areas (e.g., clinical, biological, epidemiological). I enjoy data management and analysis and love advanced statistical modelling in all its more complex features. I am particularly interested in systematic reviews, meta-analyses and network meta-analyses of individual participant data, aggregate data, or individual participant data supplemented with aggregate data (Bayesian and frequentist approach), and umbrella reviews. I also have a great interest in randomized clinical trials and observational studies.
I have collaborated with several world-leading research teams in prestigious universities, acquiring significant achievements, and I have a good portfolio of publications in reputable international scientific journals.
Since April 2022, I have become a member of the Cochrane Collaboration, and I am a reviewer for several medical and zoological journals.
