1. Describe your haunted hallway.
My hallway is creepy and weird and it has unsetting things. It gives you a weird feeling. And it like old and worn down giving it a odd feeling.
2. What was your inspiration?
My inspiration was from the backrooms, a place that is not from this world.
3. What do you feel is successful in your drawing?
I feel like the creepy feeling of the drawing was the most successful and the way the texture looks old.
4. Describe your work using 2 Elements of Art
I used straight lines in the hallway and with the lockers.
I used crusty texture on the walls.
5. Describe your work using 2 Principles of Design
The emphasis was the eye on the ceiling because it was the most detail thing and it was in the center of everything. And the red blood on the floor is moving to the center of the floor making it a movement.
1. Explain your vision of the T-Shirt design.
I wanted something that people wanted to wear but something that also represents TADA. The quote says "Anything can be art only when the artist expresses passionately" this really shows how art is and what TADA is all about. And the design really pops out and shows a form of art like painting.
2. Why did you decide on this design?
I did this design because it was simple yet shows how art is and how it represents TADA. And the quote really says how we as artists can make anything with passion.
3. What was your inspiration?
My inspiration was people's everyday wear. People always wear black shirts and any cool design on it. And many people had japanese letters in their shirts too. With all of this I designed this simple look but very cool.
4. Use at least 2 Elements of art and 2 Principle of Design vocabulary terms to describe your work.
The color red on the roses pops out from the black background. I used curved lines to draw the hand and the vines coming out the roses.
I used emphasis on the roses since they stand out with the red color. I used movement on the hand since it looks like it's painting the roses.
1. What is a portrait?
A portrait is a picture/drawing of someone's face only.
2. Who did you choose for your drawing and why?
I chose Princess Diana because she has helped a lot of people and it was very sad that she died at a young age.
3. Describe your Portrait Drawing using the 2 Elements of Art and 2 Principle of Design
I used lines to draw her curved eyes and jaw line. I have value on the face since it's the lightest contrast from the dark hair.
My drawing has a lot of contrast with the face and hair. My drawing also has balance by having my eyes, nose and mouth in the right spots.
In this drawing I wanted something that represented me and my art style. The drawing is a wonderland from my mind. I just thought about the characters and things I like to draw then combined them all together. The main thing you can see is the girl with purple and pink hair. I like doing side profiles and I wanted someone looking at this new world. For the background I want a tree and some sort of waterfall. So I drew a tree with very detailed wood and I added hanging keys with pearls. The clock on the tree is there to make it look unreal and show weirdness. I also drew a door with an eye to make it look like there is still more to explore about this new world. I have five characters, the lady in red, the pink blob, the girl in the water, and the dragon. I want things that seem unreal and I really relied on my imagination. I wanted nature to look unreal and something you would find in another world. I added mushrooms that look like they glow in the dark, the grass and vines are multiple greens with colorful dots. I made the mushroom look big because I wanted to look unreal. Some small details are the little back ashes walking with food, little golden spirits, eyeball birds and moon rocks on top of the waterfall. For the sky and moon I wanted something simple since there's already a lot going on with the creatures.
Which Pokemon card did you paint?
I painted the pokemon Vanillish.
Describe the landscape for your Pokemon card.
My pokemon is in an ice cave with icicles all around and a river with little icebergs floating. And the pokemon is in the middle blowing a wind of snowflakes and ice.
What critique/suggestion did you take from your peers to fix within your work?
I didn't really get any critique but I did try to get opinions from other people but everyone said it was really good. But I did fix everything that looked off to me.
Describe your work using 2 Elements of Art.
I used value in the background since it's darker than the icicles and pokemon.
I used shapes to draw the icicles and icebergs.
Describe your work using 2 Principles of Design.
I used rhythm on the icicles since they repeat.
The pokemon's wind is movement because it's blowing wind and ice.
