SoFerence 2024
Transformation of Libraries: The Design Thinking Way

Organized by
TCS Information Resource Centre at Bangalore
20 January 2024

SoFerence is a leading biennial National Social Conference on Library & Information Science (LIS) organized by India’s largest Corporate Information Resource Centre of Tata Consultancy Services.

This year, the 7th edition is scheduled on Saturday, 20th January 2024. The theme of SoFerence is “Transformation of Libraries: Design Thinking Way”.

Libraries are continuously evolving in the fast-paced technological milieu, making it increasingly imperative for Libraries to reimagine its collection, services as well as infrastructure in the pursuit of aligning with New Normal. Reimagining involves out-of-the-box thinking and decision-making which are pivoted tightly around library users. Design Thinking is a process applicable to all types of libraries interested in creating innovative services and solving problems iteratively.

This year, in SoFerence, we will be conducting an in-person Design Thinking workshop for Library Professionals, focusing on live library problems. The takeaway from this workshop would be a practical understanding of the complete design thinking process with a tailormade roadmap for transforming your libraries.

Registrations are invited for in-person SoFerence conducted at TCS Bangalore on Saturday, 20th January 2024.  A Pre-SoFerence online workshop will be held on Saturday 6th January, 2024.
