Welcome to my homepage!
I am a Ph.D. research scholar of Economics at SRM University-AP, India, specializing in International Development Economics. My research interests include Sustainable Development, Environmental & Energy Economics, and Applied Economics, particularly examining how globalization, institutions, and macroenvironmental factors shape poverty, growth, and inequality in developing countries. In addition, I explore the dynamics of energy and environmental transitions, the role of clean energy and green investments in sustainable development, and broader applied economic issues spanning trade, finance, and polycrisis.
I am driven to contribute to both academic literature and policy-oriented tasks in my area of specialization and research interests, especially those related to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) by 2030 and fostering development in the Global South. My ongoing Ph.D. research focuses on the nexus of globalization and poverty in developing countries, using large datasets and empirical methods grounded and supported by theories. In addition, my research entails studying how the interplay of international economic forces, particularly globalization components, shapes developmental outcomes in emerging and developing economies.
Prior to my Ph.D., I gained one year of teaching experience at the Diploma & Preliminary Program Unit, Centre for External Program & Preliminary Studies (CEPPS) of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ogun State, Nigeria. As a postgraduate researcher, I have contributed to several research articles published in reputable academic outlets indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and the ABDC journal quality list. Additionally, I was selected as a mentee for the 2023-2024 cohort of the Association of Mentoring and Inclusion in Economics (AMIE) and as a participant in the 2025 Summer IZA/FCDO G²LM|LIC Development Economics Course organized by the Institute of Labour Economics (IZA) and the London School of Economics (LSE).
