Sockeye Run ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what
data the App collects, how we use it, and the controls available to you.
The App has no user accounts; we do not ask for your name, email, phone
number, or location.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

1. Device & app telemetry — Firebase Analytics and Firebase Performance
collect anonymous information such as device model, OS version, app
version, crash data, and screen-view events. This collection can be
disabled in Settings → Privacy → Share usage data.
2. Push notification token — if you opt in to notifications, Firebase
Cloud Messaging issues an anonymous device token so we can deliver
topic pushes (openings, emergency orders, announcements, marine
advisories). The token is not linked to your identity.
3. Local preferences — your season selection and notification choices
are stored on your device only.
4. Subscription state — if you purchase Sockeye Run Pro, RevenueCat
issues an anonymous app-user-ID so the subscription can sync across
your devices. No name, email, or payment data is stored by us; the
payment is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Billing).
5. Advertising identifiers (free tier only) — if you grant App Tracking
Transparency permission, Google AdMob may use the iOS Advertising
Identifier (IDFA) to serve personalized ads. If you decline, ads are
non-personalized. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings →
Privacy & Security → Tracking.

WHAT WE DO NOT COLLECT

We do not collect: your name, email, phone number, precise location,
contacts, photos, vessel information, or any other personally identifying
data. The App has no sign-in.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION

1. Deliver push notifications you opted into.
2. Understand anonymous usage patterns so we can improve reliability and
the information shown.
3. Diagnose crashes and performance regressions.
4. Verify subscription entitlements (Sockeye Run Pro).
5. Serve ads to free-tier users (personalized only with ATT consent).

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The App relies on the following services, each with its own privacy
policy:
• Firebase (Google) — Firestore, Cloud Functions, Analytics, Performance
Monitoring, Cloud Messaging, App Check.

YOUR CHOICES

• Turn off analytics & performance telemetry: Settings → Privacy →
Share usage data.
• Turn off notifications: Settings → Notifications, or in your device's
system settings.
• Decline ad tracking: respond "Ask App Not to Track" to the iOS ATT
prompt, or change later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security →
Tracking.
• Cancel a Pro subscription: through the App Store (iOS) or Play Store
(Android) — not in the App.
• Delete all local data: uninstall the App. There is no server-side
account to delete because we never create one.

DATA SECURITY

Backend reads are protected by Firebase App Check so only our App can
request data. Firestore rules deny all client writes. Traffic to Firebase
and data sources is over HTTPS.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly
collect information from them.

INTERNATIONAL USERS

The App is operated from the United States. By using the App you consent
to your data being processed in the U.S. We do not knowingly process
data of users in jurisdictions where doing so would violate local law.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be
reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this
document, and the in-app copy under Settings → Privacy will be updated
to match. Please re-read this policy periodically.
