Call For Papers

The purpose of the International Workshop on Societal Computing for the Internet of Things & You (SoCIeTY 2020) is to provide a high profile, leading-edge forum for academics, industrial professionals, educators and policymakers involved in the field to contribute, to disseminate the most innovative researches and developments of all aspects of societal computing using Internet of Things (IoT), such as intelligent/smart objects , environments/spaces, and systems. The workshop discusses several new and challenging management & policy-based societal issues which require new technological innovations.

We welcome submissions that identify challenges, report experiences, and discuss progress towards design, solutions or vision/ideas of IoT which will help in contributions to describing techniques applied to real-world problems, novel networking architectures, system designs, and applications and interdisciplinary research involving integration of IoT devices (including wearables), mobile, edge and cloud resources and machine learning techniques with societal computation.


We invite research scholars, researchers, and faculties from institutions as well as industries, from India and abroad, to submit research papers describing original research work and practical experiences/experimental results for consideration for the workshop, following guidelines listed below.

Submission Guidelines

All submissions must be written in clear and comprehensive English. Submitted papers should not exceed 6 double-column pages including figures, tables, and references; and must adhere to standard ACM conference proceedings format. Additional details may be included in a clearly-marked appendix (containing all technical ideas and proofs necessary for an expert to fully verify the claims of the paper) that will be read at the discretion of the program committee. Authors must register the abstract 1 week prior to the full paper submission. Reviews will be single-blinded. Papers should neither have been published elsewhere nor being currently under review by another conference or journal. The accepted submissions will likely be included in the ICDCN proceedings published through ACM and have it available in ACM Digital library.
