Workshop overview
Explore social dancing of the Gustavian era, with a focus on both the figures and the steps. We will learn at least the longways dance Madame Arfvidsson and the cotillion Gustafs Skål from Baron Åkerhielm’s dance book (1785).
The workshop is suitable for anyone interested in historical dance, regardless of whether or not you are participating in the Sveaborg Assemblée the following day.. No prior knowledge or experience is required! It offers both seasoned ball-goers and anyone interested in historical dance the opportunity to delve into 18th-century dancing.
The workshop will be held in Finnish and/or English, depending on participants.

Equipment
Dance shoes and a water bottle are recommended. No historical attire is required.
