Journey Boxes provide students with opportunities to explore, investigate, and practice inquiry. Topics for journey boxes can be ANYTHING! This website is dedicated to housing social studies journey boxes for grades k-5 based on the Social Studies Georgia Standards for Excellence. All materials included in the journey boxes are free to use and share in your own classroom. While you may not have time to complete every activity within the Journey Box--we encourage you to provide your students with opportunities to think like historians, become history detectives, problem solvers, and scholars who are not afraid to ask questions.

Journey Boxes are not here to provide students with all the Right Answers, they are a tool by which students have the opportunity to develop the Best Questions by which they will create their own social studies narratives!
