Nathan Poirier

Student Biography: Mr. Poirier is a second year doctoral student of sociology at Michigan State University. He holds a B.A. and an M.A. in mathematics, and an M.S. in Anthrozoology. His primary areas of interests include environmental sociology, critical animal studies, and gender studies. A current project of Nathan’s examines the social construction of animal welfare science through how it is taught within animal science departments.
