As students who attend an International School in Asia, founders Mia and Yejin found it hard to feel like they truly belonged with a different background and unique past experiences. They needed to belong in a group where their voices could be heard without feeling embarrassed or shameful- a safespace for many others like them. That was how they came up with the idea of creating this organization to speak out for rights and advocate for minorities, and established it as the SJA. Through this empowering movement of doing good, they hope to reach out to those in need and amplify their voices as well.
