The Social Democrat Party supports establishing a welfare state, guaranteeing every citizen the right to a quality life. We support universal healthcare, tuition-free public university, public housing and food and universal basic income.

The Social Democrats believe the right to unionise is essential. Adequate worker benefits and fair wages are musts. We believe worker-owned co-ops are the future and support tax benefits for them.

Progressive taxation is the key to a fair society, built by and for the workers — not by and for the rich.

Beautiful, walkable cities are a human right. This will be accomplished by mandating each canton has the accommodations needed to provide an enjoyable experience for every citizen.

We call for establishing a national park, free to all.
