Benjamin Kidd was a sociologist. in 1894, he published a book called Social Evolution. In this book, he talks about the "Anglo-Saxon overflowing his boundaries" and moving into "new territories." He also talks about how Anglo-Saxons "exterminated the less developed peoples with which he has into competition... not necessarily indeed by fierce and cruel wars of extermination, but through the operation of laws not less deadly." He gives many examples of other groups of people having things taken away by the Anglo-Saxon groups, saying the "same history is repeating itself." He also talks about the importance of religion in all of these things, specifically the Christian religion.
