Social Dance Pedagogy Co-Lab

Mission

The Social Dance Pedagogy Co-lab brings teachers of social touch partner dance into dialogue to co-investigate and share methods for effective teaching. We seek to build on and expand the teaching impact of participating teachers and social dance communities.

Structure

Co-Lab Groups: These groups require a commitment of five meetings over a period of three months so that participants can dive deep with a consistent group of experienced social dance teachers from a variety of social dance backgrounds. If you are an experienced social partner dance teacher interested in participating in a co-lab group, please contact mcmains@uw.edu.

Open Co-Labs: These one-off sessions do not require an on-going commitment and are open to any social dance teacher. Each session is focused on a different topic and requires pre-registration. See the schedule of upcoming sessions.
