If you are considering to be volunteer on our November Game Jam session, please review the agenda so that you know what will happening that day.

BEFORE THE GAME JAM SESSION

In the beginning of the day, you will be meeting with one of the facilitators as we will assign you tables to be at. You will be mentor 2-3 groups that day. Make sure to introduce yourself and read over the agenda of the day.

DURING THE INTRODUCTION OF THE GAME JAM SESSION

When we introduce the game jam and activities in the beginning, please the join the students in the activity. If we are having discussion, elicit student thought and ask questions to push their thinking. If we are doing some instruction, remind the members in the groups to listen and look at the whoever is speaking.

DURING THE BREAK OUT SESSION

As a volunteer, you will be assigned 2-3 groups. We have reserve 3 rooms and you will be assignment one of those room which will hold your groups. You will be a mentor to the groups as you will be assisting the groups in of the follow facets:

• Efficient Group Work Dynamics: In effective group work dynamics, a goal must be stated and reminded tasks are all listed out and then delegate amongst group member. The tasks must be listed out.
• Design of the Prototype: Student will be selecting a sustainable development goal dilemma and planning out a game where the user is playing a game to solve that dilemma.
• Feedback of Prototype: To guide student to provide feedback to at least 3-5 prototypes. As volunteers, we encourage your to provide feedback as well to their prototype.
• Managing their time: When students get immersed in the work, they lose track of time. Remind the students of the time they have left and where they should be at in the process. Refer to the agenda.

DURING LUNCH TIME

During lunch time, your roll will transition into a crowd control role as we guide students to getting their lunch. They will be getting 1 pizza each, there will be left overs and 2 after everyone gets one pizza.
