The goal of this event is to connect writing center tutors and professionals with each other for a day of learning, connection and idea sharing in a professional development setting.

Collaboration, Culture, and Transformation

Together, we will envision and shape the future of writing centers and tutoring with collaboration and campus writing culture transformation for the years ahead. We will value the labor that embodies writing centers and its transformation.

3rd Floor

In November of 2016, Kern County citizens voted to pass Measure J, a $502 million bond which opened the door to funding for needed improvements of the Bakersfield College Campus. These funds, along with additional state grants, will transform this campus and move the learning environment into the 21st Century and beyond. 

Parking & Campus Map


Parking (Lot P3- Red): The solar panels parking lot on the corner of Panorama Drive and Mt. Vernon Ave

There will be courtesy carts that will drive you to our Campus Center building. 

CC (Campus Center- Yellow): This is where the Renegade Event Center is located on the 3rd Floor. Lunch will also be served here. 

The side of the building has the giant "BC" as shown in the picture above. There is elevator access to the 3rd floor. 

H (Humanities Building- Blue): This is where most of the conference will take place. Rooms H2, H5, H6, H19, H20, H21, H22, and H23 are all located here on the first floor. 

The building is between our Peace Garden and the bus stop. There is ramp access to the 1st floor.
