Methodology Statement

Data Collection:

SoCal Research uses Pollfish’s online panel to collect responses from adults around the country. Pollfish tracks, verifies, and provides demographics, allowing us to tell if the data is representative of the population.

Weighing:

SoCal Research uses a variety of methods to determine weight variables. While exit polls can serve as a basic guide, we also factor in census data, target smart final election data, and take into account the enthusiasm and likelihood of each demographic to vote. Surveys are weighed for race, age, gender, education, vote history, region, and when necessary, recalled vote. We do not believe in weighing by party as party ID is fluid and if all other core demographics are correct, it should take care of itself. Subgroups are not individually weighed and are not always representative of that specific group.

Sponsors:

SoCal Research accepts sponsorships from anyone willing to pay, regardless of partisanship. Please note that while the sponsor has full control over the area polled and questions asked, we do not conduct push polls or ask leading questions.
