The Media Production Center (MPC) has a key box that dispenses keys for access to video editing suites. A card reader is on the right side.
A chart on the wall tells you which key you need
Swipe your AUID
Enter the key number, and press OK
Before you pull the door open, lift the tab under the handle.
The key you requested will light up (unless it is a key you do not have permission to borrow). Turn the key counter-clockwise and remove.
You must return the key within 4 hours or an email alert is sent to you and SOC Technology Services.
Returning the key is a similar procedure, but with one difference... sometimes the key box times out faster than you can lock the key into place.
You must put the key back before the light goes out. If you are not able to turn the key clockwise until it is vertical, follow these instructions:
Keep the door open
Swipe your AUID
Enter the Key Number
When the light comes on, turn the key until it's vertical
It usually takes 2 business days to process your request.
When complete, your AUID will unlock the building, and let you into the key box.
