Ensembles
Beginning Women
Open to everyone and anyone who would like to sing
All students must go through a year of Beginning Women before advancing to any other choir
Performance opportunities: on campus concerts each school year, eligibility for FVA Solo/Ensemble, MPA, and FMEA All-State choir
Students will learn:
Basics of vocal technique including posture, breath, and placement
Basic fundamentals of musicianship such as note reading, keyboard, rhythm reading, solfedge, major scales, major key signatures, and basic expressive elements
Vocal technique concepts are specific to the natural female vocal register
Basic sight-reading
Bass Harmonix
(Men's Choir)
Open to all men who would like to sing
All students must go through a year of Bass Harmonix before advancing to any other choir
Performance opportunities: on campus concerts each school year, eligibility for FVA Solo/Ensemble, MPA, and FMEA All-State choir
Students will learn:

(Intermediate Women's Choir)
Auditioned, must have passed a year of Beginning Women to be eligible for audition

Students will learn:
Basics of vocal technique, musicianship, and sight-reading builds on that taught in Beginning Women
Vocal technique concepts are specific to the natural female vocal register
Vita Musica
(Advanced Mixed Choir)
Auditioned, must have passed a year of Beginning Women or Bass Harmonix to be eligible for audition
Performance opportunities: on campus concerts each school year, eligibility for FVA Solo/Ensemble, MPA, and FMEA All-State choir, community events, etc.
Students will learn:
Basics of vocal technique, musicianship, and sight-reading builds on that taught in Beginning Women and Bass Harmonix
Vocal technique concepts are specific to the natural female and male vocal register
Bella A Cappella
(Advanced Women's Choir)
Auditioned, must have passed a year of Beginning Women to be eligible for audition
Performance opportunities: on campus concerts each school year, eligibility for FVA Solo/Ensemble, MPA, and FMEA All-State choir, community events, etc
Students will learn:
Basics of vocal technique, musicianship, and sight-reading builds on that taught in Beginning Women and Silver Sisters
