A multidisciplinary approach to evaluate ecosystems resilience under climate change
The key objective of matforpat is to build up a multidisciplinary framework which, by exploiting the know-how acquired in the fields of applied mathematics, numerical analysis, computer science and ecology, aims at comprehending and predicting natural transitions more thoroughly as well as providing a qualitative and quantitative measure of the ecosystem resilience under climate change. To achieve such goals, the integrated framework gathers information arising from: satellite images, machine learning tools for pattern recognition, different mathematical models, numerical schemes, parameter identification techniques, dynamical system theory, stability analysis, ecological indicators and interpretations.
