Star Archery (Southern Tennessee Archery Range) will provide facilities, training, and competition opportunities for recreational and competitive archers. The facilities will eventually include an indoor archery range, an outdoor archery range. We are starting with the 3-D and outdoor archery ranges and hope to phase in the indoor range in the next year or so.
The Star Archery mission is to provide quality training facilities and competition opportunities for competitive archers and help recreational archers improve their skills while providing a community for archery enthusiasts to practice and learn together.
·As a competitive archer, I was unable to find a facility south of Nashville that provides access for practice and training outside of specific business hours. Since most adult competitive archers have full-time jobs, this limited availability directly impacts their ability to reach their goals. Having been a member of an archery club in Illinois, I was accustomed to being able to practice around my work schedule and missed the club atmosphere as opposed to the commercial shop atmosphere. My goal in launching Star Archery is to provide a place where both competitive and recreational archers can have access to facilities that allow them to improve their archery skills and have a sense of community. I have been a member of several competitive archery teams. Each had a different focus and environment. My goal is to combine the best of each environment and build a team that enjoys each other’s company and learns together without the constraints imposed by commercial archery shops.
Directions:
Search for Star Archery on Google Maps. Searching for the address will take you to the wrong location.
From the 64 Bypass exit on I65 (Exit 14), head West toward Pulaski for about 1 mile. Turn Left (South) onto Pisgah Ridge Road. After about 1 mile, you will come to a fork in the road. Take the smaller road to the left and turn onto Indian Creek Road. At the next fork, take the left onto Young Road (also known as Young Hollow Road). The property will be on the left.
If your GPS says to take Bunker Hill Road, that is OK, but Young Road is narrow and curvy. Pisgah Ridge Road is safer and easier to navigate.
Alternatively, use the nearest address (681 Indian Creek Rd, Pulaski). From there, take the fork to Young Road and you will see the property on the left.
