On February the 18th, 2026, we decided to renovate our guild from the name 'Campanology Cravers Youth Guild' to 'The Society of National Youths' as part of an expansion project with the express aim to keep youth ringing alive and healthy.
The bells of St Anns Church in Tottenham are a beautiful rirng of 8 bells, casts by Whitechapel in different years. The back six bells were all cast in 1865 by George Mears & Co. Those bells remained a six until 1957 when the great tower captain at the time, Ernest Rowe, had the insightful idea into augmenting the six into an eight! On Saturday 2nd November 1957, the new, fine bells were rung for the first time. These bells were mostly rung by the Rowe family at the time with a local band. These bells continue to resonate throughout the St Anns neighbourhood and shall do forever!
