This course introduces students to economic evaluation in health policy, using examples to illustrate key concepts. Topics covered include the principles and theoretical foundations of economic evaluation, economic evaluation methods and tools, synthesizing evidence for economic evaluation, reflecting uncertainty, ethical and distributive considerations, etc. Students will learn how to evaluate health interventions and policies based on economic evaluation.

Specifically, this course covers topics such as transformation of medical care to health, demand for medical care, supply of medical care, health insurance, regulation in health care sector, and health care systems. Students learn how to apply economic and econometric tools to analyze them and discuss related public policy.
Econometrics I 보건의료의 계량경제분석 I
This course is designed to introduce students to econometrics with emphasis on empirical analysis. Specifically, this course covers fundamentals of probability, mathematical statistics, estimation, inference, specification and data issues and carrying out an empirical project. The primary objectives of the course are both to increase students' understanding of fundamental econometrics and to develop their skills to carry out an empirical project. Accordingly it involves substantial learning by doing.
Application of Machine Learning to Healthcare Management and Policy 보건관리와 정책을 위한 머신러닝 응용
This course is designed to introduce students to Machine Learning with emphasis on predictive modeling. Specifically, this course covers fundamental principles for building predictive models, intuitive explanations of many commonly used predictive modeling methods, principles and steps for validating a predictive model, and computer code to perform the work to build and validate predictive models. The primary objectives of the course are both to increase students' understanding of Machine Learning and to develop their skills to carry out an empirical project. Accordingly it involves substantial learning by doing.

The primary objectives of the course are both to increase students' understanding of fundamental theories and to develop their skills to interpret and analyze evidence. Accordingly it involves substantial learning by examples.

This course is designed to introduce students to thorough overview of innovative healthcare industry: pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, platform technology, medical devices, and information technology. Specifically, this course covers topics such as market structure and competition, economics of product development, pricing, sales and marketing, business strategies, and prospects for growth. Students learn how important healthcare industry is and discuss related public policy.
