What if I Don't Have Much Time?
You can spend as little or as much time as you are able.
You will NEVER automatically be assigned responsibilities; you determine YOUR involvement.
But the more volunteers we have, the more we can delegate and distribute responsibilities, and the easier it is to get things done and done well.
I Work During the Day, Can I Still Be Involved?
YES! Even if you can’t make it to our meetings, all members will have access to the agenda and meeting minutes to help you stay informed.
You can also:
Share this information with neighbors, friends, and family
Help with Book Fairs, help with our evening family events, join a committee
Submit your receipts to Box Tops
Link your Smith’s grocery card to Snow Springs Elementary for Inspiring Donations
Link your card on givebacks
What if I Have Younger Kids at Home?
Younger kids are welcome to attend the monthly meetings.
Younger AND older kids are welcome to come to the family events.
With events like the Book Fair where we have to watch the merchandise and handle money it is best to find other care for them.
How Often Are Meetings and Events?
Meetings are monthly and occur on the first Thursday of the month at 9:30 am. We hold events throughout the year and an overview of our calendar can be found here. Some of the future events don’t have an exact date set but we will update our calendar as these events get closer.
How Does PTA Raise Funds?
Box tops are now submitted entirely through their website or app. No more clipping! You simply have to submit a copy of your receipt and select Snow Springs Elementary as the school you would like to donate to. For every Box Top submitted, we get $0.10. But you can get bonus rewards for buying specific items or shopping at specific stores. For more information on this you can go here.
Link your Smith’s rewards card for Smith’s Food and Drug to donate to Snow Springs. For more information go to this tutorial here.
We receive $2 from the $10 PTA membership fee. Sign up to be an official PTA member here.
We hold one Direct Donation Fundraiser every year in the fall and give out prizes donated by our local community.
In the past we have partnered with community businesses to hold Spirit Nights. Due to decreased participation in Spirit Nights we have moved away from focusing on them and primarily generate funds through our Direct Donation Fundraiser.
