Assembly

I did my usual sorting routine.

Sorting to locate all the outside border pieces, while....

Placing the pieces into the 'general-color' piles.

Then I carried on with a second round of sorting (similar colors sorted by shades/patterns) while placing the pieces flat out on the poster boards.

The border went together quite easily. This cut has the extra trick of 6 corner edges but 2 pieces 'butt' up to each other. I started with the strawberries first thing and then worked some of the butterflies.

Once I established their positions I worked all the fruits and flowers which left only the green leaves combined with the blue background and there was a LOT as seen below. It took me just as long to complete the green/blue as it did to assemble the rest of the puzzle - it was a workout indeed which was the fun part ;)

Seeing the close up section below shares the beautiful details of the image and the random cut pieces against the pale blue background. This sure is one pretty puzzle image!

Comments...

The Cobble Hills Puzzle Company has a several Barbara Behr puzzles including the Pink Flowers and Blue Flowers. Also, some of you may know that floor renovations delayed puzzling for a week or so. The Fruit and Flutterbies jigsaw puzzle was the jigsaw puzzles for adults on board after that and it sure was great to get back at it :)
