Test
A. ATTENDANCE
1. All pupils/students are required to attend classes regularly from the first day of school to the last day of classes.
2. Pupils/students who are absent for two (2) or more days are to notify the class adviser either by phone or by writing.
Upon their return to school, they are to present to the class adviser/subject teacher a formal note from the parent/guardian stating the days and the cause of their absence.
3. If pupils/students are absent for ten (10) consecutive days without any notice from parents or guardian, the pupils/students may be dropped from the roll after due process. They may be readmitted only upon presenting a valid reason in writing from parents or guardian duly approved by the principal..
4. A written information will be given to the parent/guardian whose child has incurred 20 days of accumulated unexcused absences.
5. Special test maybe given to pupils/students who missed the periodic test on a case to case bases.
6. Failure to attend in any school functions/activities during non-class days is also considered an absence.
7. Announcement of Typhoon Signal no. 1 automatically suspends all classes for Kinder and Prep and Signal no. 2 automatically suspends all classes for all grade levels in SNIS.
8. Pupils/Students who will represent the school in outside functions like contests, trainings, conferences and the like will not be marked absent.
B. TARDINESS
1. Pupils/Students are expected to be punctual in attending their classes. They are considered late if they are not in their line during the flag ceremony and those who arrive after 1 o’ clock in the afternoon.
2. Being late for three times within the month is considered one day absent.
3. Habitual late comings/absences is a ground for disciplinary actions.
C. CUTTING CLASSES
A pupil/student is cutting classes if she/he:
- Is absent in any subject without due permission after she/he has been accounted for in the daily class roll.
PROCEDURES FOR SETTING UP PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES:
Teachers are available for parent conference during school hours. Parents who come to school without any appointment may not be attended to.
In order to facilitate this consultation, the following procedures for Parent-Teacher conferences are observed:
REQUEST FOR APPOINTMENT
A teacher who wishes to meet the parents or guardian of a pupil/student may request for an appointment
A.1. For Nursery to Grade 3 Pupils
By writing the request or notification in the pupil’s assignment notebook indicating the time, date and place of the meeting. The parents and guardian will confirm the appointment through their son’s/ daughter’s notebook the following day he/she returns to class.
A.2. For Grade 4 Pupils to High School
By securing a call-up slip indicating the time, date and place of meeting and sending the same to the concerned parents/ guardians. The parents or guardian will confirm the appointment through the return slip the following day.
The parents or guardians, who wish to meet the teacher/s of their son/daughter, may make arrangement by writing their request in their son’s/ daughter’s assignment notebook. Parents are urged to schedule this appointment before coming to school in order to ensure availability of teachers for conference.
DISCIPLINARY MEASURES AND PROCEDURES
Discipline is an integral part of the educational program of the school. Obedience to school rules, regulations and norms of conduct contribute to the development of character which is necessary in the formation of the Christian Filipino. The school has the authority and the prerogative to promulgate from time to time rules and regulations on conduct, as she may deem necessary to carry on her educational mission.
Pupils/Students are expected to comply with them and failure to do so may constitute sufficient grounds for disciplinary sanctions from the school.
OFFENSES AND CORRESPONDING SANCTIONS
Category A
1. Playing of toys in any form during class or any school related activity
2. Copying of assignments, etc.
3. Eating, drinking and chewing gum in classrooms, Holy Mass and during programs and other related activities
4. Failure to give to the parents/guardians official communications.
5. Failure to meet deadline in returning test papers, reply slips, contracts and other official communications
6. Failure to submit the required letter of excuse after an absence
7. Habitual tardiness/ habitual absences (refer to table on the next page)
1. Improper haircut and hairstyle
2. Improper wearing of school uniforms and not wearing of school ID
3. Leaving the classroom without the teacher’s permission.
4. Littering
5. Loitering
6. Shouting and howling in class or along corridors, in the chapel or during any school activity
7. Teasing and name calling
8. Using vulgar and offensive words (refer to table below)
Category B
1. Boxing/Fighting inside the school campus
2. Bullying like forcing someone to do undesirable acts like cheating, stealing, etc. with verbal or physical threat. (For Grade school only.
3. Cheating in an examination like quizzes, unit test, chapter test, and the periodic test and others. (Note: Scores in the particular test/quiz will not be recorded)
4. Cutting classes
5. Entering the school campus using someone else’s I.D.
6. Extortion or collecting money and any other things from peers by force or threat
7. Inappropriate attire in programs and other performances
8. Intentional damage to school property; vandalism
(Note: The offender has to serve the sanction and has to pay the damage)
9. Piercing on any parts of the body and wearing multiple earrings
10. Signing documents on their parent’s behalf without authorization
11. Unauthorized use of the name of a teacher /administrator (e.g. in asking favor or collection of money from parents/guardians; soliciting)
12. Using cellphone during class hours.
13. Any other offense prohibited by the school.
Category C
1. Gross acts of disrespect/harm to school personnel and other persons (such as: assaulting a teacher falsely accusing another pupil/student; verbal and written threats, beating up another pupil/student, disrupting classes.)
2. Bringing prohibited items such as alcoholic beverages, deadly weapons/ explosives, bladed weapon, illegal drugs, firearm and pornographic materials, opening/ viewing pornographic websites and what are prohibited by law.
3. Bullying like forcing someone to do undesirable acts like cheating, stealing, etc. with verbal or physical threat.
4. Coming to school under the influence of alcoholic beverages
5. Display of intimacy like kissing in school and other related activities and even outside the school campus while wearing school uniform.
6. Exhibitionism (displaying one’s genital to others; peeping tom)
7. Joining beauty pageant and ramp modeling and any other related activities
8. Patronizing questionable places in uniform like karaoke bars, gambling places (billiard, cockpit arena, etc)
9. Pupils/Students who commit scandalous acts like drinking alcoholic beverages, fighting, boxing, public display of anger, etc. anytime inside the school and school related activities and even outside the school campus while wearing school uniform.
10. Stealing within the school premises, its immediate vicinity and even beyond the school such as shoplifting while wearing school uniform
11. Smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages within or 15 meters away from the school premises and other areas used for school activities (e.g. camping, field trip, etc.)
12. Any other offenses prohibited by the school.
Category D
1. Bringing and using prohibited items such as deadly weapons/ explosives, bladed weapon, firearms for threat or harm to other person
2. Being a member of a gang, fraternity and sorority or any organization or association by the school. (Note: Number of offenses is accumulated from grade school to High School)
3. Forging, falsifying and/or tampering academic or official school record, signature, marks, notes and other documents
4. Gambling in any form inside school premises, its immediate vicinity and other areas used for school activities
5. Publishing or circulating false or malicious information about the school, a teacher or any school official or pupil.
6. Touching the private parts of another’s body
7. Any other offense prohibited by the school.
Category E
1. Commission of any act of immortality supported by actual evidence such as premarital sex, homosexual relationship and other illicit affairs
2. Organizing and recruiting members for a gang, fraternity or sorority or any organization
3. Bringing, possession, distribution and use of prohibited drugs and other addictive substances, or what are prohibited by law
4. Any other offense prohibited by the school
The administration has the sole authority to enforce any workable sanction as seen fit to the given incident.
A pupil/student may be subjected to disciplinary action, after due process, under the following manner and in accordance with the system of sanctions provided hereunder:
2. VERBAL WARNING
A verbal advice calling the attention of the pupil by the adviser or subject teacher concerned. This is done if the rule violated is considered a minor offense and there was no considerable inconvenience caused by such simple infraction.
3. SUSPENSION
a penalty given to pupil/student who violated specified school’s rules and regulations
4. ORDINARY SUSPENSION (OS)
A pupil/student under ordinary suspension is barred to attend classes for two (2) consecutive days.
5. SUSPENSION (S)
A pupil/student under suspension is barred to attend classes for three (3) consecutive days.
6. DISCIPLINARY PROBATION (DP)
A pupil/student under disciplinary probation is barred to attend classes for one (1) week. He/ She is barred to participate in any co-curricular and extracurricular activities within the quarter. Disciplinary Suspension given for offenses done one (1) week before the periodical test, should be imposed and effected on the next quarter.
This is restraining measure on a pupil/student who has been guilty of consistent misbehavior or serious violation of rules and regulation after already being placed on preventive suspension
2. Advise to Transfer
- the pupil/student will be advised to transfer if she/he commits a grave violation or misconduct, shows no improvement in her/his behavior and is incorrigible even after already being placed on disciplinary probation (DP)
3. Dismissal
- final and irrevocable withdrawal from the school
DUE PROCESS
In the event that the offense committed would merit a suspension, we follow this process:
Five (5) members of the disciplinary committee, which shall be governed by the rule of majority, are to be appointed and constituted by the school. The committee will give a written notification to the pupil/student and parents, concerned, informing them of the nature of the infraction and the possible sanctions thereto, and requiring them to answer in writing their defense or position on the matter within a period of ten (10) days from receipt of the notification. The committee shall hold a hearing after the lapse of ten (10) day period, with or without the written answer, together with the pupil/student, parents, or their counsel should they wish to have one in that hearing. Decision should come out within a period of ten (10) working days after the conclusion of the hearing.
The committee shall transmit their decision to the Principal for approval. Once approved, the peace coordinator shall thereafter, within a period of three (3) days, enforce and implement the decision.
If appeal is undertaken by the erring pupil/student, through their parents or counsel within a period of ten (10) days from receipt of the decision, the case shall be submitted for review and resolution to the School Director, who will render decision within a period of ten (10) working days from receipt of the appeal.
For purposes of appeal, a reconsideration should be availed first by the losing party, within a period of three (3) days from the receipt of the decision, otherwise, no appeal could be entertained or given due course.
DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE

REPORT CARD
The Report Card is issued personally to parents on a Saturday as scheduled.
The card is returned to the adviser the following Monday after it has been signed by the parents to show that they are aware of the performance of their child.
In case of those parents whose children have failing grades and were not able to get the cards during the designated dates, they are required to come for a conference with the class adviser or the subject teacher concerned. School authorities are not held responsible for future complaints of parents who do not submit for a conference regarding their child’s failure on the appointed date.
Pupils/Student with lost report cards should inform their advisers and submit an affidavit of loss.
A replacement fee of 100 Php will be paid for lost Report Card.
