Snippet Studio respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data the extension handles, how it is used, and what choices users have.
1. Purpose of the Extension
Snippet Studio helps users save, organize, and insert reusable snippets such as email templates, AI prompts, formatted text, HTML, Markdown, XML, and variable-based templates across websites.

Snippet Studio may handle the following user-provided data:
Snippets and template content created or saved by the user
Categories and labels created by the user
Variables and placeholder values used in snippets
Extension settings, such as theme and trigger character
Recent snippet history used to improve quick access
This data is provided by the user through the extension.
3. How We Use Data
Snippet Studio uses data only to provide its core functionality, including:
Saving and organizing snippets
Allowing users to search and manage their snippet library
Inserting snippets into supported text fields and editors
Supporting Variables and personalized template insertion
Remembering user preferences and recent snippets

Snippet Studio stores user data in browser storage, including local storage and, where supported by the browser, sync storage. Data is used only for the operation of the extension.
5. Data Sharing
Snippet Studio does not sell, rent, or trade user data.
Snippet Studio does not share user data with third parties for advertising, marketing, or profiling purposes.
6. Remote Code
Snippet Studio does not download or execute remote code. All extension functionality is packaged with the extension.
7. Permissions
Snippet Studio requests certain browser permissions only as needed to provide its features:
storage to save snippets, settings, and recent history
tabs and activeTab to apply selected snippets to the active page when the user requests it
contextMenus to open the extension workspace from the browser menu
sidePanel to display the Quick Library
Host permissions to enable snippet insertion on supported websites
8. Data We Do Not Intentionally Collect
Snippet Studio does not intentionally collect:
Financial information
Health information
Authentication credentials such as passwords or PINs
Location data
Web browsing history for unrelated tracking purposes
Keystroke logging for surveillance purposes
9. User Control
Users can edit or delete their snippets, categories, Variables, and settings at any time within the extension. Users may also remove the extension to stop all future data handling by the extension.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any updates will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date.
