Privacy Policy for SN Instance Switcher
Effective Date: 19/12/2024
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how the SN Instance Switcher Chrome extension (“the Extension”) collects, uses, and protects your information.
The Extension does not collect, transmit, or share any personal or sensitive user data. It only interacts with the current tab’s URL to provide its functionality of switching between ServiceNow instances. Specifically:
The Extension reads the URL of the active tab to determine the current ServiceNow instance and update the domain as per your configured preferences.
The Extension stores your list of domains and their order locally in your browser’s storage to maintain your settings between sessions.
The Extension requires the following Chrome permissions:
tabs: To interact with the current browser tab and retrieve its URL when you use the Extension.
activeTab: To temporarily access the active tab’s URL when you interact with the Extension.
storage: To store the list of ServiceNow domains and their order, ensuring that your configuration is persistent.
host permissions: To allow the Extension to access specific ServiceNow domains you define for seamless instance switching.
These permissions are used solely to deliver the core functionality of the Extension. No other browsing data is accessed or stored.
All user-defined data, such as the list of domains and their order, is stored locally within your browser. This data does not leave your device and is not accessible to anyone else.
The Extension does not transmit any data to external servers or third parties. It operates entirely within your browser.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Extension or applicable regulations. Any updates will be posted here with the effective date.
