Welcome to SniffTalk. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SniffTalk mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by SniffTalk ("we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use SniffTalk. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
The Service is intended for pet owners and pet lovers to share stories and connect in a community setting. It is not a veterinary, medical, legal, or professional advice service.
2. Your Account
You may register using email and password or supported sign-in providers (such as Sign in with Apple). You are responsible for:
Providing accurate registration information
Keeping your login credentials secure
All activity that occurs under your account
You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Delete Account in the app. Account deletion is permanent and removes your profile and associated data as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. The Service
SniffTalk is a pet story community where members can:
Read and respond to daily community questions
Post moments (stories) with text and optional photos
Explore topics, shared echoes, and community highlights
Send private messages to other members
Use optional in-app features such as virtual coins, membership plans, spotlight boosts, and Pet Voice Studio
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Service.
4. User-Generated Content
4.1 Your Content
You may submit text, photos, profile information, messages, and other materials ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute your User Content solely to operate and improve the Service.
You represent that:
You own or have the right to post your User Content
Your User Content does not violate these Terms or applicable law
Your User Content does not infringe others' rights
4.2 Community Standards
You agree not to post or share content that:
Is illegal, harassing, hateful, threatening, or discriminatory
Contains nudity, sexual content involving minors, or exploitation of animals or people
Promotes violence, self-harm, or dangerous activities
Is spam, misleading, or impersonates another person or entity
Contains malware or attempts to phish or scam other users
We may remove content, restrict features, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these standards or that we reasonably believe pose risk to the community.
4.3 Reporting and Blocking
You may report content or users and block other members through in-app tools. We review reports and may take action at our discretion, but we are not obligated to monitor all User Content.
5. Virtual Currency, Subscriptions, and Purchases
SniffTalk offers optional virtual coins and membership subscriptions (such as Plus Lite and Plus) processed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or other authorized platforms.
Coins and memberships have no real-world cash value and are non-transferable except as allowed within the Service.
Prices, coin costs, rewards, and membership benefits may change; current rules are shown in the app.
Refunds are handled according to the policies of the store through which you purchased.
We may revoke coins or benefits obtained through fraud, abuse, or violation of these Terms.
Subscription renewals, cancellation, and restoration are managed through your platform account settings.
6. Pet Voice Studio — Entertainment Feature
Pet Voice Studio lets you record a short pet sound on your device and receive a fun, fictional "translation" and story draft for entertainment purposes.
Important — please read carefully:
For entertainment only. Output is humorous, randomly generated content. It is not real pet communication analysis, scientific interpretation, veterinary advice, behavioral diagnosis, or any form of professional guidance. Do not rely on it for decisions about your pet's health, safety, or care.
Audio stays on your device. Recordings are stored locally on your device only. We do not upload, store, analyze, or transmit your audio recordings to our servers or third parties.
What we receive. When you generate a story, the app may send only non-audio information (such as your selected pet type and account identifier) so we can deduct virtual coins and return a story draft. No audio file is included.
Optional publishing. You may edit and publish the generated story as a moment. Publishing is entirely optional.
No other use of voice data. We do not use Pet Voice Studio recordings for advertising, biometric identification, sale to data brokers, or any purpose beyond the local entertainment feature described above.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to access non-public areas of the Service
Circumvent coin, membership, or security systems
Create multiple accounts to abuse rewards or promotions
Upload malware or interfere with the Service's operation
Collect other users' personal information without consent
8. Intellectual Property
The SniffTalk name, logo, app design, and our original content (excluding User Content) are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our branding or software except as allowed by law or with our written permission.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service may link to third-party websites or use third-party services (such as app stores, analytics, or image hosting). We are not responsible for third-party terms or practices.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
SniffTalk is a social entertainment platform. Nothing in the Service — including Pet Voice Studio, community posts, or messages from other users — constitutes veterinary, medical, or professional advice. Always consult a qualified veterinarian for pet health and safety concerns.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS (USD $50).
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service.
