If you have multiple qualifications on your red card you will be paid at your primary position rate for general training requirements. For position specific training, you will be paid at the rate that coincides with your qualification.

Below is a training opportunity if you are interested in remote and virtual incident support.
Course Description:
Remote and virtual incident support whether attached to an IMT or part of the Remote Incident Support Team (RIST) is an expanding area of expertise in incident management. To work virtually, team members not only need to have positional skills to accomplish incident related tasks but also need to know how to work effectively in a virtual environment. This workshop is targeted at any incident management qualified personnel who work with or supervise virtual employees on incident as well as RIST members who want to learn effective and efficient methods for providing virtual incident support. Participants who attend should expect to receive a thorough understanding of remote/virtual incident support, organization, delegation, workflow efficiencies, what a day in the life of a virtual support looks like, and use of specific incident tools that allow for the facilitation of virtual support.
The 2025 Fire Behavior Workshop offers a valuable opportunity to enhance the skills of FBANs, LTANs, SOPLs, and operational personnel. Attendees will receive updates on software programs, NextGen WFDSS, and data sources. This workshop aims to share best practices and build a community of knowledgeable fire behavior specialists, featuring presentations and demos in 30-to-60-minute increments that allow participants to choose sessions of greatest interest.
Skill workshops, Next Gen WFDSS, and Fire Behavior workshops are open to all who register to participate in the Remote Incident Support Workshop whether a virtual employee or work on-site. All workshop sessions are voluntary and attendance for all sessions is not required.
Course Intent:
This training is designed to support individuals who are interested in supporting incident management teams, dispatch centers, or local units on-site/remotely/virtually or as a member of the Remote Incident Support Team (RIST). All sessions are open to all but have specific target audiences based on the topic area. RIST specific discussions will take place early in the week but are open to all interested individuals.
