This Privacy Policy explains how SnapYourPool collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the SnapYourPool mobile application (the “App”) and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
If you create an account or sign in (e.g., Google sign-in), we may collect your email address and display name. We do not collect your social login password. Guest usage without sign-in is supported.
When you capture or upload pool photos (and optional notes), the App sends them to our back-end to analyze water quality and generate recommendations. We store the analysis results, timestamps, and limited metadata (e.g., image size) so you can view history and schedules.
Please do not upload images that contain other persons or sensitive content.
In-app purchases/subscriptions are processed by Google Play. We receive non-financial purchase data (e.g., purchase token, product ID) to validate subscription status. We do not receive or store full payment card details.
We may collect device information (model, OS version), app version, limited identifiers (e.g., anonymous install ID), and diagnostic logs (e.g., error events) to ensure security and stability.
We may process your IP address to derive approximate region for fraud prevention, service quality, and regulatory compliance. We do not collect precise GPS location.
If you contact us, we collect the information you submit (email, message, attachments) to assist you.
We do not intentionally collect special/sensitive categories of data (e.g., health records, government IDs). Please do not submit such data through the App.

Where we rely on consent (e.g., notifications in some regions), you can withdraw it in the App or device settings.
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share data with:
Service providers / processors strictly needed to run the Services, such as:
Cloud infrastructure & storage (e.g., AWS Cognito, AppConfig, DynamoDB; Cloudflare R2/S3-compatible storage).
Authentication / configuration (e.g., Firebase Authentication & Remote Config, if enabled).
AI model providers (e.g., OpenAI / DeepSeek) to analyze images and produce recommendations.
These providers process data under our instructions and appropriate safeguards.
Payment platform (Google Play) for subscription validation using purchase tokens.
Legal & safety: if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity.
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as permitted by law.
The mobile App does not use web cookies. If you later use our website, it may use cookies or similar technologies—see the website notice for details.
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above, including:
Account & subscription records: while your account/subscription is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for compliance and dispute resolution.
Photos & analysis history: until you delete them in-app or request deletion, or as required for legitimate business/legal purposes.
Diagnostic logs: for limited periods to ensure security and reliability.
Subject to applicable law, you may:
Access, correct, or delete your personal information;
Object to certain processing or request restriction;
Withdraw consent where applicable;
Export/receive a copy of your data (data portability).
How to exercise: use in-app controls (e.g., clear history) where available or contact us at REPLACE-ME: [Contact Email]. We may verify your identity before fulfilling requests. If we cannot comply, we will explain why (e.g., legal obligation).
Residents of certain regions (e.g., EU/UK/EEA, California) may have additional rights under local law and may lodge a complaint with their data protection authority.
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect information in transit and at rest (e.g., TLS encryption in transit, restricted access, logging). No method is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may process and store data in Australia (ap-southeast-2) and other countries (including the United States and EU) depending on our architecture and service providers. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
SnapYourPool is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided data, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Effective date”. Material changes will be highlighted within the App or on this page.
