Snapvia — Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 6, 2026

Snapvia ("we," "our," or "the app") is a photo and video editor built to respect your privacy. This policy explains how your data is handled.

We do not collect your personal data.

Snapvia has no user accounts, no analytics, and no servers that store your information. We do not track you.

Your photos and videos stay on your device.

All editing happens locally on your device. Your photos and videos are never uploaded to us or to any third party. When you save or share an edit, it stays on your device and goes only to the apps you choose to share to.

Photo Library access.

Snapvia requests permission to access your photo library so you can import media to edit and save your results. We only access what you select, and only on your device.

Face Detection.

Two Snapvia editing features detect the location of faces in the photo or video you are editing: "Face Light" brightens faces with a soft glow, and "Smart Reframe" keeps people centered when you change a video's aspect ratio.

These features use Apple's on-device Vision framework (VNDetectFaceRectanglesRequest) to determine only the rectangular position and size of any faces in the frame you are editing. This is face detection, not face recognition: Snapvia does not identify or attempt to identify any individual, does not create or store a faceprint, face template, face map, or any other biometric identifier, and does not measure facial landmarks or features.

The detected face rectangles are coordinates only. They exist in the device's memory for the fraction of a second it takes to render your edit, and are discarded as soon as that edit is drawn. They are never written to disk, never saved to a file or database, never included in your exported photo or video, never transmitted off your device, and never shared with us or with any third party. Because nothing is stored or transmitted, there is no retention period and no data for you to request deletion of — the information ceases to exist the moment the edit is rendered.

Face detection runs only while you are actively using the Face Light or Smart Reframe features on media you have chosen to import. It does not run in the background and it does not use your camera.

Captions / Speech Recognition.

If you use auto-captions, Snapvia uses Apple's Speech Recognition to transcribe audio from your video. This is handled by Apple and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store this audio or text.

Purchases.

Snapvia PRO subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We never receive your payment information. Apple's handling of purchases is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children.

Snapvia does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes.

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new date.
