Privacy Policy for SnapTask
Last Updated: June 19, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to SnapTask. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in our application.
2. Information We Collect
SnapTask is designed as a local-first task management and productivity tool. All task descriptions, due dates, subtasks, and category data are stored directly on your device's local storage using SQLite. We do not transmit or store your personal task lists on external servers.
3. Push Notifications
Our app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver push notifications and alerts about your tasks. To send notifications, FCM uses a unique anonymous device token. We do not link this token with any personally identifiable information.
4. Third-Party Services
We use Google Firebase for push notification services. Firebase may collect anonymous usage diagnostics (such as delivery success rates) in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Security
We implement industry-standard local security practices on your device. However, you are responsible for securing physical access to your device to prevent unauthorized access to your task databases.
6. Changes to this Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
