Snap PDF (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Snap PDF mobile application.
1. Information We Do Not Collect We do not require user registration, and we do not collect, store, or share your personal identity (such as your name, email, or phone number). All document scanning, PDF creation, and file processing happens entirely locally and offline on your device. We never upload your documents or photos to any server.
2. Camera and Media Access Permissions
Media Access: The app requests access to your device’s media library and file system to allow you to select images for conversion and to open/read existing PDF documents.
Camera Access: The app requests access to your device's camera specifically to allow you to scan physical documents in real-time using our document scanner feature.
3. Analytics and Diagnostics (Firebase) To help us improve the app and fix bugs, we use Google Firebase (including Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics). Firebase automatically collects certain anonymous usage and diagnostic data, which may include:
Device information (e.g., hardware model, operating system version)
App usage data (e.g., which tools you open, session duration)
Crash reports and performance data This data is completely anonymous, does not contain your personal files or documents, and is used solely to maintain and improve the app's performance.
4. Advertising (AdMob) This app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect certain information automatically to provide relevant advertisements, including:
Device information
Advertising identifiers
Usage data
Users can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting their device settings (e.g., navigating to Google Settings > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization on Android).

5. Data Sharing We do not sell, trade, or share your information. The only data transmitted externally is the anonymous telemetry and advertising data handled by Google Firebase and AdMob as described above.
6. Children’s Privacy This app is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
