This Privacy Policy explains how Snaplio ("the app", "we", "our") handles information when you use it. Snaplio is built around a simple principle: everything the app does happens on your device. We wrote this policy to describe exactly what that means in practice.

Summary

• Snaplio does not have user accounts, logins, or a server. There is nothing for us to store on your behalf.

• Your screenshots, the text extracted from them, and any notes you add never leave your device. We cannot see them, and we have no way to access them.

• The app does not contain advertising and does not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

• Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We never see your payment details.

Information the app accesses on your device

Photo Library. With your permission, Snaplio reads your device's Photo Library to detect new screenshots automatically. This access is read-only: the app does not modify, delete, or upload your photos. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings, Privacy and Security, Photos.

On-device text and code recognition. When a screenshot is imported, Snaplio uses Apple's on-device Vision framework to recognize text (OCR) and to detect QR codes and barcodes within the image. This processing happens entirely on your device using Apple's operating system frameworks. No image or extracted text is sent anywhere for this analysis.

App data storage. Screenshots' metadata (such as the date, category, recognized text, and any barcode or QR content), your notes, and your app settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework, inside the app's private storage area. This data is included in your device's local backups (for example, iCloud device backup or Finder/iTunes backup) the same way any other app's data would be, but Snaplio itself does not transmit it to any server we operate, because we don't operate one.

Notifications. Snaplio can show local notifications (for example, when it finishes importing new screenshots, when your free-plan storage limit is reached, or as an occasional reminder to review old screenshots). These notifications are scheduled and generated entirely on your device. Snaplio does not send remote or push notifications from a server.

Home Screen widget and Live Activity. If you add the Snaplio widget to your Home Screen or Lock Screen, a small amount of summary information (such as your total screenshot count) is shared between the main app and the widget using Apple's App Group feature. This sharing is strictly local to your device: it uses Apple's private, on-device shared storage mechanism and does not involve any network transmission.

Subscriptions and payment

Snaplio offers an optional Premium subscription. All purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit, Apple's in-app purchase system. We receive confirmation from Apple that a purchase was made and its product identifier, but we never receive your payment card number, billing address, or other financial details. Apple handles all of that under its own privacy policy, available at apple.com/legal/privacy.

Data we do not collect

We do not collect, receive, or have access to:

• Your screenshots or any images from your device

• Text extracted from your screenshots

• Notes you write inside the app

• Your location

• Contacts, calendar, or any other personal data beyond what's described above

• Advertising identifiers or behavioral tracking data of any kind

Children's privacy

Snaplio is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because the app has no accounts and no data leaves the device, there is no personal information for us to collect from any user, regardless of age.

Your choices and control over your data

Because all app data lives on your device, you are always in control of it:

• You can delete individual screenshots, notes, or entire categories inside the app at any time.

• You can use the Delete old screenshots option in Settings to clear out older items in bulk.

• You can export your data (currently as CSV) from Settings, Export.

• Revoking Photo Library access in iOS Settings stops the app from importing new screenshots; previously imported metadata remains until you delete it or delete the app.

• Deleting the app from your device removes all of its locally stored data (subject to how your device's own backup system, like iCloud Backup, may retain a copy of that backup independently of the app).

Future features

If we introduce optional iCloud sync in a future update, screenshot data would sync only through Apple's iCloud service, under your own Apple ID and Apple's iCloud privacy terms; it would still not be accessible to us. This policy will be updated before any such feature ships.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example as new features are added. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
