Local-First — Your Data Lives on Your Device
Snap it: Regrow stores all your photos, analysis results, and progress data locally on your device. When you use AI analysis, your photo is temporarily sent to our secure AI service for processing and immediately discarded afterward. No photos are ever permanently stored on any server.
By using Snap it: Regrow, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
1.1 Photos Stored Locally on Your Device
What We Store:
Photographs of your hair and scalp that you take or select within the App
Photo metadata (date taken, file size)
AI-generated analysis results for each photo
Where It's Stored:
Locally on your device in the App's secure storage container
Photos may be optionally backed up via iCloud if enabled on your device
We do NOT permanently store your photos on any server
If you delete the App, all locally stored photos are permanently deleted
1.2 Analysis Data Stored Locally
What We Store:
Hair health scores (overall score, scalp health, density, thickness)
AI-detected patterns (balding patterns, thinning levels, Norwood stage)
Personalized recommendations and action plans
Progress tracking data and trends
Timestamps of when each photo was analyzed
All analysis results are stored locally on your device only.
1.3 How AI Analysis Works
When you analyze a photo, it is temporarily sent to our secure AI service for processing. The AI generates your hair health scores and recommendations, which are returned to your device and stored locally. Your photo is not permanently stored on any server and is discarded after processing.

1.4 Authentication Information
If you sign in with Apple:
Apple may share your name and email address with the App (you can choose to hide your email)
This information is used solely to identify your account within the App
You may also use the App as a guest without providing any personal information
We do not share your sign-in information with any third party
1.5 Device and Usage Information
What We Collect:
Device type and model (e.g., "iPhone 14 Pro")
Operating system version
App version number
Device identifiers (IDFA — only if you enable tracking)
General crash reports and error logs
App usage statistics (which features you use, when you use the App)
This data is aggregated and anonymized. You can disable tracking in iOS Settings > Privacy > Tracking.

Photos are only temporarily transmitted for AI analysis and are not permanently stored on any server. We will NEVER sell, rent, or trade your personal information or photos to anyone. Your photos and all analysis results are stored locally on your device.

3.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law. Since we don't collect identifying information or store photos, we have very limited data to provide even if legally required.
3.4 Business Transfers
If our company is acquired or merged, limited device/usage data may be transferred. Since all photos are stored locally on your device and never transmitted to us, they are NOT part of any business transfer.

4.2 iCloud Backup
The App supports optional iCloud backup:

If you delete the App without backing up, all data is permanently lost
4.3 Security Measures
App uses iOS secure storage (Keychain for sensitive data)

4.4 Data Retention

5.1 Access Your Data
All your data is stored locally on your device. You can access it anytime through the App's Progress tab. There is no remote server to request data from — you already have everything.
5.2 Delete Your Data
Delete Individual Photos:
Tap the X button on any photo in the Progress tab
Photo and its analysis data are permanently deleted
Delete All Data:
Delete the App from your device
This permanently deletes all photos and analysis data
Cannot be recovered
5.3 Export Your Data
You can export your photos manually by saving them to your Camera Roll before deleting the App. We may add an export feature in future updates.
5.4 Control AI Analysis
You can choose not to use AI analysis — simply take photos without tapping Analyze. Photos will be stored locally without any analysis being run.
5.5 Control Analytics and Tracking
Disable Ad Tracking: iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
The App requires minimal data to function
Snap it: Regrow is NOT intended for children under 16 years of age.
If you are under 16: Do not use this App.
If you are between 16–17: You may only use the App with parental consent and supervision.
Since the App doesn't collect identifying information, we have no way to know if a child is using it. We rely on parents to monitor their children's device usage.

8.1 AI Analysis Service
Photos are temporarily sent to our secure AI service provider for analysis. Photos are transmitted via encrypted connection without personal identifying information and are not permanently stored on any server. Analysis results are returned to your device and stored locally.
8.2 RevenueCat (Subscription Management)
We use RevenueCat to manage and verify subscription status. RevenueCat receives only your anonymous device identifier and subscription status — no photos, health data, or personal information.
8.3 Analytics Services

Firebase Analytics: For understanding app usage (optional)
These services collect only anonymized usage data — never photos or health data.
8.4 Apple App Store
All subscription payments are processed by Apple. We receive minimal subscription status information only.

We do not integrate with social media platforms, advertising networks, marketing platforms, or email service providers.
9.1 How AI Analysis Works
When you analyze a photo:
You tap Analyze in the app
Your photo is temporarily sent to our secure AI service via encrypted connection
Hair density, scalp health, and patterns are assessed by the AI
Results (scores, recommendations) are returned and saved locally on your device
Your photo is not permanently stored on any server after processing
9.2 AI Model Updates
AI models are continuously improved. No photos or personal data are used to train or improve models — model improvements are developed independently.
9.3 AI Limitations
Our AI analysis is NOT a medical diagnosis. Results are estimates and may contain errors. AI is for informational purposes only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns about hair loss or scalp health.
As a mobile app, we don't use traditional cookies. We use:
Local Storage: To store photos and data on your device
Device Identifiers: IDFA (if you enable tracking) for analytics
App Preferences: To remember your settings
You can disable IDFA tracking in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Because all photos and analysis results are stored locally on your device, the risk of a data breach involving your stored data is minimal. Photos are only temporarily transmitted for AI analysis and are not permanently retained on any server.
In the unlikely event that our analytics providers experience a breach, we will notify affected users via in-app alert. Note that analytics data is anonymized and contains no photos or personal identifiers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated "Last Updated" date will be shown at the top, and material changes will be announced via in-app notification. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
