Qdafengzi built SnapForge as a free photo editing app. This service is provided by Qdafengzi at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, processed, used, shared, retained, and deleted when you use SnapForge. By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
SnapForge is designed as a local-first image editor. The app processes the photos, edits, previews, OCR results, face detection results, export settings, and metadata settings needed to provide its features. I do not sell your personal information.
SnapForge provides photo import, camera capture, image adjustment, filters, cropping, perspective tools, selective edits, brush and drawing tools, text and stickers, frames, OCR recognition, face-based beauty tools, background or object processing, image export, and metadata management.
To provide these features, SnapForge may access or process the following information:
Photos and images you choose to import, capture, edit, preview, export, or share.
Edited output images, thumbnails, temporary previews, masks, render data, and project history needed for editing.
Text that you add to an image, recognized OCR text, sticker placement, drawing strokes, and other edit parameters you create.
Face detection information, such as face bounds, feature points, and related local analysis data used for beauty, portrait, or face-aware editing tools.
Image metadata, including EXIF fields such as capture time, camera make and model, lens information, GPS/location fields, orientation, dimensions, ISO, aperture, shutter speed, focal length, flash, white balance, software fields, descriptions, author/copyright fields, MakerNote, resolution, and color profile.
App preferences and local settings, such as language, theme, recent project records, export format, export quality, metadata preservation settings, and other user interface settings.
Diagnostic information that may be provided by the operating system, Google Play, or app store tools if the app crashes or fails.
This information is used to provide app functionality, render previews, apply edits, export images, manage metadata, remember your settings, fix problems, and improve the app experience.
SnapForge may request or use the following permissions, depending on your Android version and the features you use:
Camera permission: used only when you choose to take or import a photo using the camera.
Photos or image/media access permission: used to read images that you choose to import from your device gallery or local storage.
Storage read permission on older Android versions: used to import selected images from local storage.
Storage write permission on older Android versions: used to save or export edited images where required by the operating system.
Network and network state permissions: these may be included by platform or third-party components, such as Google Play services or ML Kit, for model download, model update, service availability checks, or related runtime capabilities. SnapForge does not use these permissions to upload your photos to a server operated by me.
Foreground service, wake lock, and related system permissions: these may be included by third-party runtime components to complete model, processing, or system tasks reliably.
SnapForge requests runtime permissions where Android requires them. If you deny a permission, the related feature may not work.
Most SnapForge processing happens locally on your device. This includes importing images, previewing edits, rendering tools, applying filters, managing project data, reading and writing metadata, using local models, and saving exported images.
Unless you explicitly use a share, open-with, export, feedback, or another user-initiated transfer feature, SnapForge does not actively upload your photos, edited images, project data, recognized text, or metadata to a server operated by me.
SnapForge uses image analysis features such as OCR recognition and face detection to provide editing tools. These features may use Google ML Kit, Google Play services, local model files, native rendering libraries, or other on-device processing components.
OCR may process the selected image to recognize text. Face detection may process the selected image to locate faces, landmarks, contours, or related feature points. These results are used to show recognition results or apply editing effects inside the app.
Some ML Kit models may be downloaded or updated through Google Play services. Google Play services and related Google components may process service diagnostics, model download information, device information, or network information according to their own policies. You can review Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Images can contain metadata that may reveal information about the original file, camera, device, software, capture settings, or location.
SnapForge provides metadata management settings for exported and saved copies. Depending on your settings, the app may remove or preserve fields such as:
GPS/location information.
Capture time.
Camera and lens information.
Capture settings, including ISO, aperture, shutter speed, focal length, flash, and white balance.
Orientation, dimensions, resolution, and color profile.
Software, description, comments, author, copyright, and MakerNote fields.
GPS/location metadata is treated as privacy-sensitive. When you export or share an image, please review your metadata settings before sending the file to other people, websites, or apps.
SnapForge may store data locally on your device to provide its features. This may include recent project records, edit settings, export settings, metadata settings, cached images, thumbnails, temporary files, and app preferences.
Local data remains on your device unless you delete it through the app, clear app data, delete exported files, or uninstall the app. Exported images remain wherever you save or share them until you delete them from that location.
If you uninstall SnapForge, Android may remove app-private data. Files exported to public folders or shared with other apps may remain outside SnapForge and must be managed by you.
SnapForge does not provide user accounts, so there is no remote account data to delete from a SnapForge server. To delete local app data, use the app controls where available or your device system settings.
When you choose to export, share, open, or send an image with another app, Android may pass the selected image file or a temporary file access permission to the third-party app or service you choose.
Those third-party apps, websites, social platforms, cloud storage providers, or messaging services are not operated by me. Their processing of your image, metadata, text, or other information is governed by their own privacy policies.
Please review the target app or service before sharing images, especially if the image may contain personal information, faces, text, location metadata, or other sensitive content.
SnapForge may use third-party open-source libraries, Android platform components, Google Play services, Google ML Kit, local storage libraries, image loading libraries, metadata libraries, native rendering libraries, and on-device machine learning runtimes to provide app features.
These components are used for app functionality such as user interface, navigation, image loading, metadata reading/writing, local storage, OCR, face detection, rendering, model execution, and app stability.
Third-party services and SDKs may collect or process information necessary to provide their own services, such as diagnostics, model downloads, service availability checks, or crash information. I am responsible for disclosing third-party handling that is part of SnapForge's behavior, and I aim to keep these disclosures accurate.

If SnapForge crashes or fails, system tools, Google Play, or app store tools may provide diagnostic data. This data may include device model, operating system version, app version, app configuration at the time of the error, time and date of the error, stack traces, and related diagnostic details.
SnapForge does not actively upload your photo contents to me as part of normal diagnostics. If you voluntarily send logs, screenshots, photos, videos, file names, metadata, or other information by email, app store feedback, issue reports, or another channel, I will use that information only to investigate issues, improve the app, and respond to your feedback.
SnapForge does not explicitly use cookies inside the app. However, if the app opens external websites, third-party services, app store pages, or links, those external services may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies.
You can manage cookies through your browser or the settings of the external service.
I value your trust and strive to use reasonable means to protect information processed by SnapForge. The app uses Android system permission controls and local app storage mechanisms to limit access where applicable.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. I cannot guarantee absolute security. Please be careful when sharing exported images, sending files to third-party apps, preserving metadata, or voluntarily sending logs or screenshots.
SnapForge is not directed to children under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
If I discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information to me, I will delete that information as soon as reasonably possible. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided personal information, please contact me.
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for changes.
Changes are effective when the updated Privacy Policy is posted. The effective date at the top of this policy will be updated when the policy changes.
