  Overview

SnapClean is designed with privacy at its core. All scanning, duplicate detection, blurry photo detection, and file

analysis happens entirely on your Mac. Your files never leave your device.

  Information We Do Not Collect

SnapClean does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, photos, videos, file metadata, or usage

information. We have no servers. We receive nothing from your device.

  ---

  Photo Library Access

SnapClean requests access to your Photos library to scan for duplicates, blurry photos, screenshots, large files, and

duplicate videos. We do not copy, upload, or transmit any media to any server or third party.

  ---

  Folder Access

When you choose to scan folders (such as Downloads, Desktop, or iCloud Drive), SnapClean uses Apple's standard folder

picker to request your permission for each folder. We only read image and video files in folders you explicitly

select. Folder contents are never transmitted or stored outside your Mac.

  On-Device Processing

All detection — including SHA256 hashing for exact duplicates, Apple Vision AI for visual similarity, Core Image for

blurry photo analysis, and file-metadata scanning for large files and screenshots — is performed entirely on your Mac

using Apple frameworks. No internet connection is required to scan.

  ---

  Purchases

SnapClean Pro is an in-app purchase processed securely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not have access to your

payment information. All transactions are handled by the App Store.

  ---

  Safe Deletion

When you delete items from your Photos library, they move to the Recently Deleted album where you can recover them

within 30 days. When you delete files from scanned folders, they move to the macOS Trash where you can restore them at

any time. SnapClean never permanently deletes anything.

  ---

  Children's Privacy

SnapClean does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
