Snapchat

Snapchat is an American app and service for sending multimedia instant messages. It was made by Snap Inc., which used to be called Snapchat Inc. One of the most important things about Snapchat is that photos and messages are usually only available for a short time before they disappear.

The app started out as a way for people to share photos with each other. Now, it has "Stories," which are a user's 24 hours of content in order, and "Discover," which lets brands show short-form content supported by ads. It also lets users keep photos in a space called "My Eyes Only," which is protected by a password. It is also said to use end-to-end encryption in a limited way, with plans to use it more in the future.

Evan Spiegel, Bobby Murphy, and Reggie Brown, who all went to Stanford University, made Snapchat. It is known for taking social media in a new, mobile-first direction and putting a lot of emphasis on how users interact with virtual stickers and augmented reality objects. As of July 2021, Snapchat had 293 million daily active users, which was a 23% increase over the previous year.[8] On average, more than four billion Snaps are sent every day.[9] Snapchat is popular with young people, especially those under the age of 16. This makes parents worry about their privacy.
