Privacy Policy for SnapBook – Photo Book Maker

Effective Date: September 22, 2026
Developer: narasim
App Name: SnapBook – Photo Book Maker
Platform: Android

SnapBook – Photo Book Maker respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, processed, stored, and shared when you use the SnapBook mobile application.

SnapBook is designed primarily as a local document and photo-book creation application. Your scanned pages, imported images, books, PDFs, OCR results, notes, bookmarks, and other document content are intended to remain on your device unless you choose to export or share them.

By using SnapBook, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information SnapBook Accesses

SnapBook may access certain information or device features when required to provide its functionality.

Camera

SnapBook may use your device camera when you choose to scan a document, page, photo, note, receipt, or other content.

Camera access is used only when you initiate a scanning function.

SnapBook does not secretly activate your camera or continuously record through your camera.

Photos and Images

SnapBook may allow you to select photos or images from your device.

The app accesses only the images you choose through Android's supported photo or file selection mechanisms, depending on your Android version.

Selected images may be copied or processed locally so they can be added to your books.

Files and PDFs

SnapBook may allow you to select PDF files and other supported documents from your device.

The app accesses files you explicitly select so they can be imported, merged, viewed, organized, edited, exported, or added to a book.

SnapBook does not intentionally scan all files stored on your device.

Scanned Documents and Book Pages

Pages created through the scanner or imported into a book may be stored locally on your device.

These pages may include personal, educational, professional, financial, handwritten, or other information depending on what you choose to scan or import.

The developer does not intentionally receive copies of these documents.

2. Local Storage

SnapBook is designed to keep your books and document content primarily on your device.

Depending on the features you use, locally stored information may include:

This information is used to provide the application's functionality.

SnapBook does not operate a developer-controlled cloud storage service for your books or scanned documents unless a future version clearly tells you otherwise and this Privacy Policy is updated.

3. OCR Processing

SnapBook may provide Optical Character Recognition, or OCR, functionality.

OCR can analyze images or scanned pages and convert visible text into searchable text.

When the app states that OCR is performed on-device, OCR processing is performed locally on your device.

OCR text may be stored locally so that you can search your documents later.

The developer does not intentionally receive the contents of your OCR text through this feature.

OCR results may not always be accurate. Users should verify important information before relying on OCR-generated text.

4. Editing and Image Processing

SnapBook may provide features including:

Processing associated with these features is intended to occur locally on your device unless a feature clearly indicates otherwise.

5. Sharing and Exporting

SnapBook allows you to export or share documents.

When you choose to share a PDF, image, book, or another file, Android's sharing system or another application you select may receive that file.

For example, you may choose to share content using messaging, email, cloud storage, social media, or another installed application.

Once you intentionally share a document with another application or service, the privacy practices of that third party apply.

SnapBook is not responsible for how another application, person, or service handles information you choose to share.

6. Password-Protected PDFs

SnapBook may allow you to create a password-protected copy of a PDF.

You are responsible for remembering and safely storing the password you create.

If you send a protected document to someone else, consider communicating the password through a separate secure method.

The developer may not be able to recover forgotten PDF passwords.

7. Advertising

SnapBook may display advertisements using Google AdMob.

Google and its advertising partners may automatically collect or process certain information when advertisements are displayed.

This information may include device information, advertising identifiers, IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information, ad performance information, and other technical information permitted under Google's policies and applicable law.

Depending on your region and consent choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.

SnapBook may use Google's User Messaging Platform or similar consent tools where required to ask for advertising-related privacy choices.

Available options can depend on your country, region, Android version, Google services, and advertising provider requirements.

9. Information the Developer Does Not Intentionally Collect

SnapBook is not designed to intentionally collect the contents of your personal books or documents on developer-controlled servers.

The developer does not intentionally collect your:

Private scanned documents, imported photos, imported PDFs, book contents, OCR text, notes, bookmarks, or password-protected document contents through a developer-operated backend.

However, third-party services such as advertising providers may process technical information as described in this Privacy Policy.

10. Personal and Sensitive Information

Documents you choose to scan or import may contain sensitive personal information.

For example, users could choose to scan documents containing names, addresses, financial information, medical information, educational information, identification information, or other sensitive content.

SnapBook does not require users to place sensitive information into the application.

Users are responsible for deciding which documents to scan, import, store, export, or share.

11. Permissions

SnapBook may request Android permissions or system access required for particular features.

Depending on your Android version and the features you use, this may include access related to the camera, media selection, file selection, notifications, or other functions required by the application.

Permissions are used only for the functionality associated with them.

You can manage app permissions through your Android device settings.

Some features may stop working if required permissions are disabled.

12. File Access

SnapBook is designed to use Android-compatible document and media access mechanisms where possible.

When using a system file picker, you control which files are provided to the application.

SnapBook does not require unrestricted access to every file on your device solely for normal document creation functionality.

13. Data Retention

Locally stored books, scans, images, OCR results, notes, bookmarks, and app-related content remain on your device until you delete them, delete the associated book, clear the application's data, or uninstall the application, subject to Android storage behavior.

Exported files saved outside the application's private storage may remain on your device even after the application is uninstalled.

You are responsible for deleting exported copies from locations outside SnapBook when desired.

Information processed by third-party services such as Google AdMob may be retained according to those providers' own policies.

14. Deleting Your Data

You may delete books, pages, notes, bookmarks, collections, or other supported content using the application's available controls.

You may also remove application data through Android's system settings.

Uninstalling SnapBook generally removes data stored inside the application's private storage, subject to Android's operating system behavior and backup settings.

Files that you exported to shared storage or sent to another application must be deleted separately.

15. Android Backups

Depending on your Android settings and the way the application is configured, certain application preferences or data may be included in Android device backup services.

Backup availability and behavior are controlled partly by Android and your Google account settings.

Users can manage device backup settings through Android or their Google account.

16. Security

SnapBook uses reasonable technical measures to protect information stored within the application.

However, no device, application, storage system, or electronic transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users should protect their devices using appropriate security measures such as a screen lock, password, PIN, fingerprint, or other supported security method.

If documents contain highly sensitive information, users should consider additional precautions before storing or sharing them.

17. Third-Party Applications and Services

SnapBook may interact with third-party services when you choose to perform actions such as sharing a file or displaying advertisements.

Third-party services may include Google Play services, Google AdMob, Android's document picker, Android's sharing system, or applications you select when sharing content.

SnapBook does not control the privacy practices of independent third parties.

Please review the privacy policies of services you use.

18. Internet Connection

Core document creation and local organization features may operate locally.

However, an internet connection may be required for advertising services, Google Play services, updates, consent management, or other online components.

Internet access used by advertising or Google services does not mean that your scanned document contents are intentionally uploaded to the developer.

19. Children's Privacy

SnapBook is not specifically directed toward children under the age required to independently consent to data processing in their jurisdiction.

The developer does not knowingly collect children's personal document content through a developer-operated server.

Parents or guardians should supervise children's use of document-scanning and sharing features where appropriate.

If you believe that information belonging to a child has been improperly collected by the developer, contact us using the information below.

20. User Responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to scan, copy, store, edit, export, or share documents and images used with SnapBook.

Do not use the application to unlawfully reproduce, distribute, or share copyrighted, confidential, illegal, or unauthorized material.

21. International Users

SnapBook may be available in multiple countries.

Privacy and advertising requirements can vary depending on your location.

Where required, additional consent options may be provided by advertising or platform services.

22. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time when the application changes, legal requirements change, or third-party services are added, removed, or modified.

The updated Privacy Policy will include a revised effective date.

Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

Continued use of SnapBook after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective may constitute acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
