Vidudala Santhosh Kumar ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Snap2Contacts mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your personal data is handled securely and transparently.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use our App, particularly regarding our contact scanning, GPS photo utilities, and integrated advertisement delivery networks.
By installing and using Snap2Contacts, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
To provide our core contact-scanning functionality, the App requires access to your device’s camera.
Processing: Images captured for contact extraction are processed entirely on-device using local Optical Character Recognition (OCR) frameworks.
Storage: Raw images of business cards, tables, or documents are treated ephemerally during the extraction lifecycle and are not transmitted to or stored on external cloud servers.
Our App includes a "GPS Photo Capture" feature designed to assist field verification workflows.
Collection: When you explicitly trigger this feature, the App requests permission to access your device’s precise location data (GPS coordinates).
Purpose & Handling: This data is used solely to generate a localized verification audit trail by embedding (baking) the exact latitude and longitude coordinates directly into the generated image canvas. This location processing occurs locally on your device. Coordinates are not tracked in the background, nor are they saved to an external database.
To function correctly, the App will request the following system permissions:
Camera: To scan text layouts and capture field images.
Location (Fine/Coarse): To anchor exact coordinate timestamps onto audit trail photographs.
Internet & Network State: Required to download dynamic configuration files, interface with standard mapping visual components, and load advertisements.
Advertising ID (AD_ID): Required on Android 13+ systems to allow AdMob to serve relevant compliance-vetted advertisements securely.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or scanned information to third parties. However, the App utilizes verified third-party Software Development Kits (SDKs) that collect standardized identifiers to facilitate infrastructure services:
Google AdMob: We integrate Google AdMob to serve non-intrusive banner advertisements within the app layout interface. AdMob may collect and process device identifiers, cookies, IP addresses, and generalized demographic profiles according to their standard privacy parameters. Google Maps API / Visual Previews: The App may utilize mapping frameworks to display localized static thumbnail configurations alongside your captured coordinate workflows. This usage is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
We implement rigorous technical precautions to protect your information:
All target scanned contact data remains stored locally within your secure encrypted on-device sandbox database layout until you explicitly choose to export or save it to your local system contacts.
The processing of location sensor parameters for image watermarking is ephemeral, meaning the temporary coordinates are purged from memory loops immediately after the permanent image output bundle is generated.
Our services do not target and are not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we delete it immediately from our local storage parameters.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect functional adjustments or regulatory updates. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
