Hi, my name is Amani and I'm a 7 year old female with elegant markings and the Spider genetics that cause wobble. My wobble is minor but more pronounced when I get excited at feeding time or if I get stressed. I enjoy exploring and I'm not fearful or defensive. I'd do best with a family that has no children and who enjoy watching me or letting me roam or hang out in a playpen more than handling me. I have a strong feeding response, so continuing with my target training will help build trust, help me focus, and prevent wobble episodes when I get excited about eating. The adoption team will review my needs with potential adopters, so please ask about me!
I'm Aslan and at 9 years, I'm a really easy-going fellow with a great mellow attitude and appetite. Before this, my life was confined to a rack. These days there is so much to experience that it's sometimes a little overwhelming, but I am serene, not defensive, and ready for a family of my own. If you'd like a snake who is calm and curious but a bit of a homebody (I don't have much interest in free roaming), then I'm your guy.
I'm Jasper, a 6 year old male. There's also a horse here at the sanctuary named Jasper, but I'm the handsome one. Ask anybody. I was starved and terrified when I arrived but thanks to the loving care here the vet says I am ready for a forever family! When I first got here I spent all of my time hiding - until a net was added to my enclosure! I LOVE my net and don't hide any more - now I come out every night. I'll be a great companion - just be patient while I get to know you, and make sure I have a net and sky hide!
Hi, I'm Naelex, a 4 year old male with striking chocolate and golden markings. When I arrived I was dangerously dehydrated and underweight, but I've responded very well to care and the vet says I can go to a forever home! Like most Royal pythons I like to stay hidden during the day but will come out to explore or lounge in my sky hide at night. I'm not terribly fearful or defensive, but I am a little shy when first around new people. Because of the neglect I suffered, I will probably always be undersized but I never refuse meals and I'm healthy! If you let me take my own time as I get to know you, I'll do well with you.
Greetings, I'm Mars, an 8 year old with stunning deep espresso and gold markings and a cute upturned nose that fits my Roman god name. The vet tells me my nose is just fine, and that I'm a healthy guy. I love to explore and climb, and will be a great companion to my new family who hopefully will let me free roam now and then (I really enjoy that!) I love my hanging hammock and you'll see me use it every day so be sure to include a net in my habitat!
Hi, I’m Tam, and I'm a 6 year old female who loves to climb and relax in my humid hide. I'm very outgoing, love to explore, and will make a fantastic pet for someone! I would love a family of my own who'll give me a big enclosure to explore and let me have time outside of my habitat to experience the world after spending my life in a rack. If you are looking for a wonderful friend rather than an animal that looks a specific way, I have some of the strongest pet potential in this group!
Hi, I’m Teyla, and I am a 6 year old female. My favorite things are eating, lounging in my favorite sky hide just watching the world go by, and as you can see in my photo, I also like to do a bit of climbing and exploring. Until I got to the sanctuary I was confined to a rack with no real chance to experience enrichment or interact with people, so be kind and patient with me - but I'm not defensive, I'm becoming more curious and outgoing every day, and I am absolutely ready for a family of my own.
My name is Cinta, and at just over a year old, I am still a youngster! I'm a very pretty girl with swirly chocolate markings highlighted with yellow and deep gold. Because I was not subjected to years of neglect, I recovered physically pretty quickly, but I was unsocialized and fearful. With time and patience my natural curiosity is shining through, and I'll come out now and then to explore. Since I'm also healthy and have a good appetite, I am ready for a forever home as long as my new family remembers that I am just a youngster and will need time and patience to feel secure.
I'm Kassa, a handsome 5 year old male who was very scared when I first arrived. I'm getting braver as my confidence grows, but while I am not defensive, I am still pretty fearful. You'll need to be patient, take things slow, and let me get accustomed to you on my own terms. I like to watch what's going on outside of my habitat, so you can use those times as well as target training to help me develop trust. I will blossom with a new family that is patient and kind. I love to eat and am doing well with target training that helps me manage my enthusiastic feeding response.
Hi, I’m Chiana, a 5 year old female as lovely as my name. I have the gene for wobble, but my wobble episodes are very minimal. I am initially pretty fearful, but I relax once I get to know and trust you. In my new life, my natural curiosity is emerging and I enjoy watching what's going on outside of my habitat. I have a great appetite and should do well with a family that will work with my special needs - especially if they will continue target training, which helps me focus and prevents wobble episodes when I get excited about eating.
Hi, I’m Dahlia and am a 4 year old female. I really enjoy climbing and my favorite hide is a cardboard paper towel tube, though I like tight spaces in general. My previous life was in a rack so I've never had a chance to be socialized around people. But I'm not defensive and am becoming more outgoing every day. I have a good appetite and I am even a little bit of a star with target training - which will give my new family a great opportunity to set up positive interactions with me! I'm an intelligent and curious lady who's ready for a wonderful new life.
I'm Aldhani, a 6 year old female with rich, dark markings. I'm one of the only snakes in the rescue group who arrived in good body condition, so recovery has been focused on socializing me and reducing fear and defensiveness since my life before coming to the sanctuary was confined to a rack with little enrichment or interaction. I'm bright, alert, and strong, and have slowly gotten more adjusted to people. Overall I'm assertive and curious, but still a bit reserved around people - think of me as something of an introvert. I'd be most comfortable in a family without young children. Taking it slowly will be the best approach to earn my trust, and continuing with my target training will be a great way to build that trust. Your patience will be needed, but for the right person I have the potential to be a good snake companion.
Hi, I'm Gaelle, a beautiful 6 year old girl with the Spider genetics that cause wobble. My wobble is minimal most of the time. I like to explore my enclosure and enjoy enrichment items, but am still learning to socialize with people. Because of my wobble, I need a family who will be patient with me and are willing to provide modifications I may need for my enclosure. Continuing my target training will build trust, help me focus and prevent wobble episodes when I get excited about eating. I will always do best in a quiet, low-stress environment. The adoptions team will go over my needs with my potential new family in detail, please ask about me!
I'm Dax, a 5 year old female, and yes, I am really cute! I have the Spider gene that causes wobble, so you need to think about whether you are the right home for me. But if you become my forever family, you won't regret it! You should know that my wobble isn't slight - it's moderate, and I sometimes sit in odd positions or can't orient myself. But this doesn't stop me! I am very curious and outgoing, I like to explore or even free roam in a safe room, and I like to sit at the front of my enclosure to see what's going on. I am VERY food-motivated so continuing with my target training will help with my wobble as well as protect your fingers! I'm not the right companion for everyone but if you can accommodate my wobble, are OK with just light handling, and can provide a calm environment, I have very strong pet potential.
I'm Jupiter, a 3 year old male who has the Spider genetics that cause wobble, but so far my neurological symptoms are very minimal. When I first arrived I was thin, terrified, and shut down, so could not be considered for adoption until I gained weight and became less fearful. I'm now at a healthy weight, and thanks to gentle habituation, I'm comfortable with sanctuary staff and curious about strangers but hesitant at first. Because of my wobble, I need a family that will provide a low-stress environment (dealing with rambunctious kiddos would be tough for me). It would be ideal if you're willing to continue my target training, as this helps wobbly snakes like me stay focused and reduces the chance of wobble episodes when I get excited at mealtime. I've been through a lot, but my sweet and gentle temperament is shining through, and I should be a wonderful addition to the right family. If you have a Jupiter-shaped place in your heart, reach out and ask about me!
I'm Jarek, a 7 year old male who likes to do some ciimbing. I am cautious in new environments but once I am used to my habitat and my family you will see me out a lot. I would describe myself as cautious yet curious, not defensive and not notably fearful - so in general, you should like my behavior which is within the normal range if you like Royal Pythons. Ask about me, the adoption team is happy to share more photos or even get my caretaker to make a video.
Hi, my name is Satine. I am four years old and while I was severely underfed at arrival, I have gained almost 300 grams and am now at a healthy weight for my size. At first I was skittish and shy, but I am feeling more secure and like to explore my enclosure at night. It may take me some time to get used to my new home and family, but if you are patient, I will adjust and we can be friends! I love to eat and while all of us are being target trained, I have to say I am a bit of a star learner!
Hi, my name is Za'atar and I am a youngster at 2 years old. The sanctuary is submitting some of my shed skin for genetic analysis to determine if I am male or female. When I arrived I was very thin and suffered with diarrhea and a mite infestation, but since then I have gained almost 300 grams and have responded well to medical treatment. These days I am bright, strong, curious and engaged with my world! I love to explore inside and outside of my enclosure and I'm interested in people. I will never pass up a tasty meal and would love to have a forever family that I can learn and grow with!
I'm Tauriel, a 4 year old female. When I came to the sanctuary I was very underfed and quite shy and scared. Since then, I've gained about 125 grams and my confidence has grown a lot. Now I explore my enclosure and use my hammock. I am still shy when first introduced to people, but am not overly fearful or defensive. I have a great appetite and the sanctuary vet says I am ready to find my forever home.
I'm Turtle, a 5 year old female. When I arrived, I was thin and had very poor muscle tone and lots of stuck shed including stuck eyecaps. I've since had normal sheds, gained about 100 grams, and because I enjoy exploring and climbing up to my hammock, have started to rebuild muscle mass. I'm a strong girl with a big attitude so probably not the best choice for families with kids, but I'm curious, outgoing, and a good fit for someone who isn't looking for a social butterfly.
