I'm new to programing and that all stuff. I watched on youtube how to create snake game and I want to add a script for my buttons to move the player. I created ui buttons like this but when I click them nothing happens, of course. I added simple assets for cross-platform and all that's done but I don't know how to script it. I can move the snake with my W A S D keys but I wanna move with the UI buttons. Here's my script:

A few days ago I shared a list of Tetris games and spin-offs that you can play on Android and iOS. Well, as iconic as the game was and still is, it is not the only one out there. Another iconic and popular game was a snake. Nokia was responsible for making it available in at least one household across the world. Here are some of the best Snake games for Android and iOS.

While the snake was a simple game with the objective of increasing the length of its tail, it was the first mobile game to take the world by storm. Before I begin with the list, here are some interesting facts about Snake.

Snake Game is one of the best snake games for Android and iOS users because of two reasons. One is that it comes with the classic snake game that you used to play on your old feature phone. And two is that you can also choose to play it in yellow and old Nokia style backgrounds. A true classic feeling fitting for a retro game like Snake.

Slither is modern-day version of the snake game with a twist. The graphics are awesome, the snakes are colorful, and it comes with a multiplayer mode. That means you can now play with your friends and compete with them for supremacy. Find out who has the longest tail in the game.

As you break more blocks, you get more balls and your snake gets longer. And so continues the legend of the snake. There are multiple levels with each on offering new challenges. Removing ads will cost you $2.99 while unlocking new levels will cost $0.99.

Missing your old Nokia feature phone? Snake 97 comes with a layout that will make you feel nostalgic. The better part of the screen is covered in what appears to be a shell of Nokia 3310 with buttons. Then there is a small green background of a screen where you will play the OG snake game.

Snake Candy is another snake game for Android and iOS where you will be competing against your friends. The objective is to have the longest tail in the game possible. Because the snake is made of candies, you will have to find and eat as many candies as possible to grow.

If you are playing against friends, the rules are a bit different. You cannot bump into the side of other snakes, otherwise, you will die. The same is also true for other players. There is a special power called lightening. Tap on it to pick up speed and reach a particular spot before other snakes do.

The last but not the least is a true snake game for Android and iOS and I will explain why. What do snakes do? They dig holes to live in them. Snakes and Apples take inspiration from real life to create a forest where a snake has dug multiple holes around apple cultivation.

To navigate the crumpled moon's surface, the Exobiology Extant Life Surveyor (EELS) is designed to use several rotating segments connected in a series, to twist and bend itself like a snake across terrain otherwise impassable by rovers and other agile landers.

The rotating segments on EELS are wrapped in screw threads, which it uses to propel itself over a variety of surfaces. EELS' snake-like ability to move those segments independently allows the robot to exert pressure against the confines of tight spaces, to climb or descend areas conventional equipment would be incapable of reaching.

Snake.io is a similar game to Slither.io. Here, you start off as a very small snake, and you have to eat little balls that are dotted around the setting to become the biggest snake there. But surviving won't be easy since you will have to dodge the other snakes who also share your goal.

There are two ways to eat the balls. The first is eating the loose balls in the setting, which will give you one point for each ball. But, when a snake collides with another, or against the wall, all their points are turned into balls worth 10 points each. So, you've got to get the other snakes to collide head-on with your tail to get all their points.

To get them to collide with you, the best thing to do is to become as long as you can. After this, you should use the accelerate button to get them to collide with you. Although this button gives you snake the ability to move a lot faster, your size will decrease the longer you hold the button. But you can use it to trap another snake inside yours more easily and get it to crash into you.

If you collide with another snake, you will lose your points. Snake.io gives you two options: respawn and start again from zero, or watch an ad and respawn with all your points. There is a limit to this last option; after doing it a few times, you will lose the chance to respawn.

In Snake.io, you start as a small worm. To increase in size, you have to eat little balls (1 point) scattered around the map. There are other snakes on the map, and if you get them to collide, they will lose their points and you can get all their balls (10 points).

The same goes for other players in the game. So, you have to be very careful about where you move while trying to eat and grow your snake. Slither has a large community of players, so you can also invite your friends to join the fun.

Unlike the conventional slithering and munching of food in a confined space, this modern take lets you glide along an extensive pathway. It features straightforward and intuitive controls: simply slide the snake towards the delectable fruits while avoiding the obstacles that could spell your death.

In Little Big Snake, your mission is to become the largest snake on the map. To do so, swallow everything that crosses your path, but be careful not to run into enemy snakes. Scattered across the map are loads of power-ups that temporarily give your snake abilities, such as a faster speed, that make the game a bit easier.

Little Big Snake has easy-to-use controls: just swipe your finger across the screen, and your snake will move across the map in the same direction. On top of that, you can tap on the right side of the screen to exchange a bit of your snake for a boost of speed.

Depending on if you reach first, second, or another place during the game, you'll earn a different number of coins, which you can exchange for new skins for your circuitous character. Check out Little Big Snake and see if you can become the longest snake on the map.

The onCreate method uses the Display class and an object of the type Point to get the resolution of the device the game is running on. Our SnakeEngine class will need a reference to the Activity and the resolution so we pass them into the SnakeEngine constructor. The last thing we do is use snakeEngine to be the View of the SnakeActivity.

In the newGame method, the snake is prepared. The length is set to just one block then the head of the snake is set to the center of the screen. The first position of each of the arrays holds the head. It is only the head that we will use when we code the collision detection. Next, Bob is prepared for a terrible demise by calling spawnBob and score is initialized to .

The for loop starts at the last block of the snake in snakeXs and snakeYs and advances it into the location previously occupied by the block ahead of it. When the for loop is complete the last position is in the place the block ahead used to be in and the block that was just behind the head is where the head used to be.

First, we lock the surface which is required by Android. If this works, we clear the screen with drawColor and then change the color of all future objects we will draw by calling setColor. We do this once for the snake and once for Bob. Now we draw the text for the score. 006ab0faaa
