Code 1: National award for Best SNAI Unit in India
Criteria for each Competition Code 01: The TNAI National Executive and Council Members have decided to enhance the quantum of cash award for the best SNAI unit from First Prize of Rs 25,000 to 1,00,000/-, Second prize Rs 15,000 to 75,000/- and Third Prize Rs 10,000/- to 50,000/-. These awards will be given during the National SNAI Biennial Conference.
The criteria for the award are as follows:
Year of establishment of the Institution and the Year of establishment of the SNAI unit.
Continuous renewal of units without any break by paying the SNAI subscriptions regularly to the National level in time.
Number of SNAI conferences attended by the unit at State and National level.
Number of conferences organised by the Unit at State Level.
Number of Awards received at the National conference.
Submission of SNAI Diary at both State and National level.
Enrollment of SNAI to TNAI members every year in last five years.
Number of students participated in the National level Conference from respective SNAI Unit.
SNAI Unit visit at TNAI Headquarters.
Any extra ordinary performance/ special programs organised by the SNAI Unit (attach supportive documents).
Copy of the SNAI Unit Certificate (please enclose).
Awards or Prizes received by the Unit at the State/National level.
Note: All the SNAI unit advisors are requested to adhere to the above mentioned criteria while filling up the Performa (Attached with this Circular) and send it to the State SNAI advisor on or before July 31, 2023. The State Branch will scrutinise and forward one best unit to the TNAI Headquarters for final evaluation.

Code 02: Scientific Paper Presentation: Theme "Empowering Nursing students: Prospects and Challenges"
The nursing student(s) shall conduct the research based on the theme and present it during the state Branch SNAI conference. The best paper selected by the State Branch will be submitted to TNAI Headquarters for final evaluation.
Criteria:
The research paper should contain Introduction, Need and significance in Nursing, Statement of the Problem, Objectives, Review of Literature, Brief description of methodology, Findings and Interpretation can be placed in one or two tables with Recommendation, Conclusion and Bibliography.
The scientific paper shall not exceed 2000 words.
As per the direction of the National President, TNAI, this is to kindly inform you that for the scientific paper presentation during the forthcoming SNAI Biennial conference, please note the below mentioned:
1. An individual student or a group of a maximum of 3 students can conduct research on the theme.
2. All three can attend the national conference but only one student researcher can present the study.
3. Three best scientific papers will be selected at the national level.
4. All three or individual student researchers shall be provided 3 tier Ac rail fare to attend the conference.
5. All three students shall be given a certificate & Rs. 1000/- for local transportation.
Note:
At the State Level: The State SNAI Advisor with the help of the TNAI Branch executives shall select one best Scientific Paper at the State Level and forward the same to the TNAI Headquarters by 31 August 2023 for final evaluation at national level.
At the National Level: The TNAI management shall select Best three Scientific papers, and shall intimate to the State SNAI Advisor, the respective principal of the SNAI Unit, and the student researcher to present the paper during the SNAI Biennial Conference 2023.
The TNAI Headquarters shall provide 2nd class rail fare (to and fro) and Rs 200/- (local transportation) to the selected student presenter.
Code 03: Biennial SNAI Diary Evaluation (July 2021-June 2023)
Criteria: In every SNAI unit the student(s) shall record all the Professional, educational, extra-curricular, social, cultural and recreational activities with proof.
The Diaries of ANM training school(s) are evaluated separately.
Note:
The principals/SNAI Advisors are requested to send their unit SNAI diary signed by the unit SNAI Secretary and unit SNAI Advisor and the same to be forwarded to the State SNAI Advisor for evaluation on or before July 31, 2023.
After receiving the SNAI Diary from each unit it shall be evaluated at the State level The State SNAI Advisor shall write his/her remarks with seal and signature and two (one from ANM training school unit & one from GNM/BSc unit) outstanding diaries from each State and sent the same to the TNAI Headquarters by 31 August 2023 for final evaluation.

Criteria:
Poster Size: Standard size (approx. 22"x26") for both individuals and groups.
Topics: Ideas depicted in the poster should be relevant to the topics given below.
Lettering and design of the poster should be bold and big enough to be visible from a distance.
Clarity: For clarity of the poster-restrict yourself to one idea relevant to the topic.
Layout of pictures in the poster must be properly balanced to give a correct sense of proportion.
No Extra fixing of clippings/cuttings or any other form on the poster.
The poster should depict originality with innovative ideas.
*PARTICIPANTS WILL BE JUDGED FOR POSTER PRESENTATION ON THE BASIS OF CLARITY, CREATIVITY, THEME, CONTENT AND IMPACT.
*ALL THE NAMES GIVEN FOR THE POSTER COMPETITION SHOULD BE REGISTERED ON THE WEBSITE.
Code 05: Quiz Competition
i) Topics:
a. General knowledge

ii) General Rules:
a. Direct questions will get 10 marks.
b. Pass on questions will get 5 marks time will be
c. Direct questions will have 30 seconds for answering and no extra allowed for pass on questions
d. First answer from each team will be entertained
e. Score will be displayed on board by the scorer
f. The decision of the Quiz masters at the National level shall considered as final.
iii) Preliminary Round for all the participants:
a. Number of questions: 25, MCQ type.
b. Time allotted shall be 30 minutes. Put tick mark (V) against correct answer.
c. On evaluation, top 6 teams will be selected.

Code 06: Essay Competition:
RULES:
The topic should be announced on the spot of competition.
The word limit for an essay will be 1000 words.
The essay should be written in English or Hindi.
The time limit for essay will be 1 hour.
The essay should include an introduction.
The essay should be relevant to topic.
The essay should include examples and according to current trends.
The essay should also include implications and a conclusion.
*PARTICIPANTS WILL BE JUDGED ON THE BASIS OF INTRODUCTION, RELEVANCE OF TOPIC, ORGANIZATION OF CONTENT, EXAMPLES & CURRENT TRENDS AND IMPLICATION & CONCLUSION.
Code 07: Extempore Speech Competition:
RULES:
Each Participant shall be given 2-3 minutes to speak on a topic picked up by him/her by draw of lots on the spot.
The time span for each participant will be 3 minutes No extra time will be given.
Marks will be deducted if the speaker exceeds the time limit.
The language used shall be English or Hindi.
The content of the speech should be completely related to the topic assigned.
The voice of the participant should be clear while performing.
A timer accessible to the contestant, judges and audience shall be provided.
The contestants are not allowed to have any gadgets.
After completion of 2 minutes a warning buzzer will be given.
A warning bell is given at the end of ½ minute, and a countdown from ten to zero seconds.
The Decision of the Jury will be final.
*PARTICIPANTS WILL BE JUDGED ON THE BASIS OF APPROACH, CONTENT, APPEARANCE, POISE/SELF-CONFIDENCE, VOICE PROJECTION/PRONUNCIATION, FACIAL EXPRESSIONS, GESTURES, EYE CONTACT, CLEAR PRESENTATION OF IDEAS AND WORTHWHILE MESSAGE.
Code 08: Sports Events are:
Rules for 100m race:
An athlete will wait for the Start Signal (Sound) before engaging in the race.
Before each 100m Race, runners will learn in which lane they will run.
Runners must remain in their assigned lane for the entire race.
If a runner crosses into another runner’s lane and is caught, officials will disqualify him/her from the race.
Runners may not obstruct other runner's paths with any part of their body.
Once in the ready position, the runner must keep their feet on starting line until the start signal sound.
If a runner starts before the whistle, it is a false start and the race will be restarted.
A runner finishes the race only after his trunk crosses the finish line and a camera will remain focused on finish line.
Failure to comply with rules may result in an athlete for disqualification.
Rules for 4×100m race:
The 4x100 m relay is an event where a relay team of four members, each run a distance of 100m in a single designated lane.
An athlete will wait for the start signal (Sound) before engaging the race.
Once in the ready position, runner must keep their feet on Starting line until the start signal sounds.
During each leg run, the athlete has to carry a baton and hand it over to the next team member.
The baton exchange has to happen. within 20m changeover box, located 10m before and 10m after the start of each leg, starting from Second relay runner.
A team can be disqualified if any member drops the baton during the handover or if the handover occurs outside the designated area.
In preparation for the 2nd 3rd exchange, the receiver must line up in the same order /lane.
Runners must remain in their assigned lane for entire race.
Runners may not obstruct other runner's path with any part of their body.
If a runner crosses into another runner lane and is caught, officials will disqualify him / her from race.
Each member of a team must wear same colour T-shirt.
Failure to comply with Rules may result in an athlete for disqualification.
A runner finishes the race only after his trunk crosses the finish line and a camera will remain focused on finish line.
Rules for Javelin Throw:
For the throw to be counted the javelin must land tip first inside the bound of the landing Sector.
The athlete must hold the javelin at the grip with one hand.
Taping two or more fingers is not allowed.
Throughout the entire process of the throw, the javelin must be kept at an overhand position (over the shoulder or upper part of throwing arm).
Athlete also need to complete their throw in under a minute.
Failure to met any of the above rules, result in a foul throw and the attempt is not counted.
Rules for Discus Throw:
The discus can only be thrown by an athlete after he/ she stands in circle which has a diameter of 2.5m.
While the athlete attempt the throw, they cannot touch the top of the rim.
An Athlete is not permitted to touch the ground outside the circle.
The disc outside the landing area, the throw would not be held valid.
Rules for Badminton (Single):
.In badminton (single), two opposite-team players will play the game and they can have a substitute player.
The player who won the toss will decide whether he/she needs service or side first.
A player will do not start the game with service until the opponent player is ready.
The winner will be decided on the basis of best of three games.
The players will change the side after each round.
Failure to comply with rules may result in disqualification.
Participants are instructed to bring their own badminton rackets.
COMMON RULES:
The participants of 100m race can only participate in 400m relay race.
Participants in javelin throw, discus throw and badminton can not participate in other games. These games will be played independently.
Extra time will not be provided to any player in case of late arrival.
All the games will be conducted spontaneously at the same time.
Participants are instructed to bring their own badminton rackets.
Code 09: On-the-spot Painting Competition:
Rules:
The topic should be announced just before the competition.
The timing for the competition will be 1 hour.
Only one individual entry shall be permitted from each institute.
Participants shall bring their own painting material.
The painting should be relevant to the given theme.
The artwork should be clearly interpretable to the viewers.
Participants are not allowed to bring any mechanical devices, stencils, etc.
All entries will be pre-numbered. No identification mark will be allowed to appear in the artwork.
*PARTICIPANTS WILL BE JUDGED FOR POSTER PRESENTATION ON THE BASIS OF INTERPRETATION, CREATIVITY & ORIGINALITY, QUALITY OF PAINTING, CLARITY OF THEME AND OVERALL ARTISTIC IMPRESSION.
Code 10: Pencil Sketching
Rules:
The topic will be announced just before the competition.
Participants should bring their own materials.
The use of mechanical devices is not allowed.
Individual entry will be permitted.
The allotted time for this task is one hour.
*PARTICIPANTS WILL BE JUDGED FOR POSTER PRESENTATION ON THE BASIS OF INTERPRETATION AND CLARITY OF THEME, CREATIVITY & UNIQUENESS, QUALITY OF ARTISTIC COMPOSITION, COLOR & TONE AND OVERALL IMPRESSION OF ART.
Code 11: Floor Decoration (Rangoli)
Rules:
The topic should be announced just before the competition which will be relevant to the given theme/topic.
Maximum time to complete the Rangoli is one hour.
Only one participant entry shall be permitted from each college.
Participant will be responsible for the arrangement of the material required to prepare Rangoli.
Area given to make rangoli will be 3 ft X 3 ft.
Only Rangoli colours can be used for making Rangoli.
The participants will not be allowed to refer to any printed material etc. for preparing Rangoli.
Judges decision will be final.
*PARTICIPANTS WILL BE JUDGED FOR FLOOR DECORATION (RANGOLI) ON THE BASIS OF RELEVANCE OF TOPIC, CREATIVITY, COLOR COMBINATION, MESSAGE THROUGH RANGOLI AND OVERALL APPEARANCE AND APPEAL.
Code 12: Mono Acting
Rules:
Scenario or situation will be given on the spot.
From each State the medium of expression can be English or Hindi.
Time allotted for mono acting shall be 5 minutes.
Only one individual entry will be permitted from each unit.
*PARTICIPANTS WILL BE JUDGED FOR FLOOR DECORATION (RANGOLI) ON THE BASIS OF RELEVANCE OF MONOLOGUE DELIVERY, FACIAL EXPRESSIONS, GESTURES & MOVEMENT, CONTENT & ACTING AND OVERALL PRESENTATION.
Code 13: Personality Contest
Rules:
There should be two entries from each college. (One male & one female)
There will be two Rounds :
Round 1: Ramp walk & Introduction (Practice for walk as per the image given below, the given walking pattern must be followed).
Round 2: Q & A round
The first round will be for all candidates, and the second round will be for those who will be shortlisted in round 1.
Participants must wear Indian traditional or Indo- Western attire only.
No change of dress is allowed for second round.
The participants will get ready on their own accord & will be given space to get ready.
The judgement of jury /judges will be considered as final.
*PARTICIPANTS WILL BE JUDGED ON THE BASIS OF CONFIDENCE, STAGE PRESENCE, BEAUTY & APPEAL, WALK AND ABILITY TO INTELLIGENTLY ANSWER THE QUESTION.
Code 14: Dance Competition
Rules:
There should be one team from each college (folk or classical).
There should be maximum 08 participants (on stage) in each team.
The maximum performing time will be 3 minutes for classical and 7 minutes for folk dance .
Costumes, props and Dholi (if required) for dance have to be arranged by participants themselves.
The song for performance need to be submitted by 30th September 2023.
The participants will be get ready on their own accord & will be given space to get ready.
The judgment of jury/judges will be considered as final.
*PARTICIPANTS WILL BE JUDGED ON THE BASIS OF COSTUME, COORDINATION, ENERGY & EXPRESSIONS.
THE NURSING COLLEGES COMING UNDER LUDHIANA DISTRICT ONLY WILL BE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DANCE COMPETITION (CODE NO.-14).
