Previously, I was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas (2020–2024), and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics, Bonn, Germany (2018–2020).

I received my Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota in 2018, my advisor was Anar Akhmedov, M.S. in Mathematics from Koc University, Istanbul, Turkiye in 2012, and B.S. in Mathematics from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkiye in 2010.

My research lies in symplectic and contact topology, low-dimensional topology, and algebraic geometry, with particular emphasis on the construction and classification of exotic and symplectic 4-manifolds, singularity theory, and complex surfaces.

My CV and further information about my research and teaching are available at the links above.
