Welcome to SmyE! These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the SmyE mobile application. By downloading or using the application, you agree without reservation to the entirety of these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
👤 1. Registration and Account Security
Access to the Service: To publish content, like, comment, or follow other members, you must create an account validated through our secure authentication system (Firebase Auth).
Accuracy of Information: You agree to provide profile information (username, biography) that is respectful and accurate.
Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the security of your account and all activities associated with it.
🏞️ 2. Intellectual Property and User Content
Your Rights: You retain full ownership of the texts, photos, and videos you upload to the SmyE application.
User License: By publishing content on SmyE, you grant us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to store, host (on our Cloudflare R2/D1 infrastructure), and display your media to other app users based on follow filters or public feeds.
Legality of Media: You certify that you possess the necessary rights or permissions for each shared photo or video. It is strictly forbidden to publish the content or likeness of a third party without their explicit consent.
🛑 3. Rules of Conduct and Prohibited Behavior
By using SmyE, you formally engage not to publish any content (texts, images, videos) that:
Is hateful, racist, xenophobic, discriminatory, or defamatory.
Is pornographic, obscene, or violent.
Constitutes harassment, threats, or insults toward other community members.
Constitutes a scam, fraud, or promotes illegal activities.
Indicates deliberate false geographic coordinates (GPS) aimed at misleading the community regarding the actual location of an establishment.
🛡️ 4. Moderation, Reporting, and Sanctions
Reporting System: Every user has access to a reporting button (btnReportContent) to alert the moderation team in case of suspicious behavior or illicit content.
Right to Censure: The SmyE administration team reserves the exclusive right to instantly remove, without prior notice, any reported or non-compliant content (via the route /api/admin/delete-post/{postId}).
Account Suspension: In case of repeated offenses or serious violations of community guidelines, SmyE reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban a user from the platform.
🗑️ 5. Termination and Account Deletion
At Your Initiative: You are entirely free to leave the platform at any time. You can trigger your account closure by following this path: Edit My Profile => Delete My Account Permanently.
Irreversible Erasure: This action is final. Our cloud infrastructure will execute an immediate parallel cleanup, erasing all of your posts, R2 media, comments, follows, and likes from our servers.
⚖️ 6. Limitation of Liability
Third-Party Content: SmyE acts solely as a content host. We cannot be held liable for opinions, texts, photos, or videos published by our users.
Availability: While we constantly optimize our Cloudflare servers to guarantee smooth feeds (especially for entry-level devices), the service is provided "as is" and may be subject to temporary technical maintenance.
