The Singing Men of Texas - West is comprised primarily of ministers of music, pastors, other church or associational staff members, and laymen actively involved in the music ministry of their churches who love to offer worship and praise to the Savior through singing and music.  The Singing Men of Texas - West (SMTW) is one of six satellite choirs of the Singing Men of Texas affiliated with Texas Baptists through the BGCT.  The SMTW sings an average of eight concerts per year throughout West Texas: from Lubbock to Abilene, San Angelo to Monahans, and all places in between.

The SMTW has taken Mission Tours traveling in New Mexico in 1999, Southern California in 2001, Kansas/Nebraska in 2003, New England in 2005, and Greater West Texas in 2007. In 2012 and 2015, the West Texas Chapter of Singing Men joined with the other five Singing Men of Texas chapters to travel to Ukraine to share the gospel though music and ministry.  In 2016, we completed a mission/concert endeavor in the state of Vermont, and in 2018 we completed a great Mission/Concert Tour of New York City!

Also, in May of 2023, the West Texas Chapter completed their latest recording project, "Worthy Of Our Praise".  It was released in November of the 2023-2024 concert season.

Members participate through their use of vocal, instrumental, and ministerial gifts.  Concerts feature musical styles ranging from Gospel, Country, and Contemporary Christian.  Each concert also features various soloists and instrumental accompaniments.
