SMTC We Will Rock You

Welcome to the audition info site for Stratford Musical Theatre Company's 2024 youth production of We Will Rock You! You should find here all the information and resources you need to make sure you're completely prepared for our auditions.

To be involved in this production you will need to be in Year 6 - 13, no older than 18 when the show is performed (May 1st-5th 2024).

To register to audition, please fill in this form. Please also make sure you bring a printed copy to your audition along with a recent photograph of yourself so we can identify you. (Please email and let us know if you don't have access to a printer.)

Audition Details

Date: Sunday 14 or Wednesday 17 January (you only need to attend one)
Time & Venue: Sunday - 2 pm - Holy Trinity Primary School, CV37 9QN
Wednesday - 7.30 pm - Shottery Memory Hall, CV37 9BL

Audition Requirements

Everyone who wants to be in the show will be required to learn and perform a short excerpt of a song, dialogue and on the day will be taught a short dance sequence. The music excerpts can be found on the Singing page and script excerpts on the Dialogue page. The dance will be taught at the audition.

Rehearsal Information

Rehearsals will begin on February 4 every Sunday 10am - 5pm at Ettington Community Centre, Rogers Lane, CV37 7SX (mostly), there will be morning and afternoon sessions so you won't be required for the full day - which one you are required at will depend on the team you're in. If you accept a role in the show, you are expected to attend all rehearsals unless agreed in advance. Please be aware that from the Sunday before the show (Sunday 28 April) you will be required for various rehearsals every evening, up to and including the show days. A full schedule will be provided as far in advance as possible.

You'll need to be a member of Stratford Musical Theatre Company in order to perform, it costs £30 for the year and you sign up via our membership site MemberMojo.
