Everyone who wants to be in the show will be required to learn and perform a short excerpt of a song, and on the day will be taught a short dance sequence. In addition, those wanting to audition for principal parts will need to read a section of the script. These excerpts can be found on the Singing and Dialogue pages. The dance will be taught at the audition.
Rehearsals will begin in February on Wednesdays (16+, with some under 16 Cast occasionally required) and Sundays (Under 16s, with some adults when needed), later in the rehearsal period Adult Cast will be required on Sundays. If you accept a role in the show, you are expected to attend all rehearsals unless agreed in advance. Please be aware that from the Sunday before the show (Sunday 18 May)Â you will be required for various rehearsals every evening (Under 16 casts will alternate by this stage).
The show will run Wednesday 21 - Sunday 25 May for six performances (two on the Saturday) at Stratford Play House, with under 16 casts alternating performances).
