I am involved in Statistical Mechanical studies of various living and non-living matters under the umbrella domain of condensed matter physics. My interest is in investigation of systems both at and away from equilibrium. In this broad domain, my focus in recent years has been on Static and Dynamic Critical Phenomena; Nucleation and Wetting; Kinetics of Phase Transitions; Pattern formation in Granular, Active and Biological Matters; Etc. I use concepts of scaling and renormalization group theories to interpret results from Monte Carlo and Molecular Dynamics simulations as well as from numerical solutions of Field-Theoretic continuum dynamical models.
